"The large high space reminds of a railway station hall rather than a restaurant, the battery is in need of accusation, after all there is the fish roast hall almost unchanged since 1926!!! The quality of food is difficult to surpass. Here it meets young and old to enjoy a bright and natural fish, which is always fresh and very tasty. "During a weekend visit to the wonderful city of Muenster we discovered this medieval/viking style restaurant, just a few steps outside the inner city. It was definitely the highlight of our food experience, besides the sightseeing, which in itself was great. You are welcomed by...friendly people, dressed in middle age attire, who very entertainingly guide you through the menu, ranging from various kinds of mead for drinks, along various meat dishes they even have moose steaks), but also sporting extraordinarily well composed vegetarian dishes. My wife and I had two different vegetarian meals, which both were just excellent. Mine was a hollowed turnip cabbage filled with pasta-style prepared carrot strips in a creamy sauce on a bed of delicious mashed beetroot, and alongside there were slices of smoked tofu wrapped in napkin dumpling dough. JUST wonderful. My wife's was grilled caramelized chicory with sides of baked pumpkin and sweet potato dices along with a wonderful beetroot sauce and a great garden salad. our dishes were so rich and opulent that we had to pass on the dessert, but we heard from neighboring tables that those were delicious as well. The atmosphere was absolutely great, of course if one is expecting silence at dinner this would be the wrong place. One little hint for beer drinkers, the beers they had were a little too sweet for our palate, very much on the malt side, but that was just our taste. So, all in all: GREAT, worth a side trip!"

"Cozy Westfalian restaurant in an old fachwerk building that looks like it dropped straight out of the 17th century, very atmospheric with a beautiful and authentic old world ambience. The food was delicious and hearty, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the Pinkus Jubiläums beer and the local schnaps specialties from Sasse. The super-local Münster Töttchen was a delicious meaty stew which I'd heard about, famous in Westfalian cuisine, and we totally enjoyed it. One of us had the Bavarian Schweineshaxen and I gotta say, it was super impressive. My Westfalian Fleischpfanne was also fantastic. Drubbelken made a great impression, it would be a great place to take visitors, and I will definitely come back."

"Wir waren in den letzten 2 Jahren ca. 30 mal bei Freitag, da wir eine Zeit lang keine Küche hatten. Das Essen ist wirklich spitze ich habe die Karte hoch und runter gegessen und auch die saisonale Karte probiert. Es war nicht ein Gericht dabei was schlecht zubereitet war, im Gegenteil, die Gerichte waren immer frisch und hervorragend abgeschmeckt und gewürzt. "Aufgrund der außerordentlich positiven Bewertungen hier haben wir uns entschlossen, mit der Familie einen gemütlichen Abend in Münsters Esszimmer zu verbringen. Dieses kleine Restaurant im Herzen der Stadt ist vielleicht noch ein kleiner Geheimtipp. Ein herzlicher und freundlicher Empfang bestätigte bereits zu Beginn des Abends das vorbestehend positive Urteil der bisherigen Bewerter. Wir haben, ganz nebenbei, noch Interessantes zur Entstehung des Restaurants und zur Geschichte des Gebäudes erfahren. Man sitzt und speist nämlich in der ehemaligen Backstube einer Münsteraner Traditionsbäckerei. Die winzige, aber wechselnde Speisekarte offenbart Köstliches und Leckeres, das keine kulinarischen Wünsche bei uns offenließ. Liebevoll zubereitete, saisonal und regional geprägte Speisen von allerbester Qualität. Toller Wein und leckeres Bier vom Fass rundeten den Gaumenschmaus ab. So ein engagiertes Team hat sich die vielen Positivbewertungen unbedingt verdient. Großartig! Weiter so! Und wenn dann auch Rechtschreibfetischisten zufrieden feststellen, dass Münsters Esszimmer wirklich das Genitiv-S im Restaurantnamen nicht durch Apostroph auf gruselig falsche, aber leider maßlos verbreitete Art und Weise abtrennt ... was soll man da noch sagen. Perfektion auf allen Ebenen! Danke! Wir kommen garantiert wieder!"

"Wir hatten einen Tisch für zwei Personen gebucht und kamen an den berüchtigten Tisch Nr. 6 Alle Tische für zwei Personen sind hier letztlich zu klein, aber dieser hat eine Säule im Rücken und zum nächsten Tisch kaum Abstand. Wir waren keine Stunde im Restaurant, trotzdem sind mir unter dem Tisch die Beine eingeschlafen. Wenn für bessere Luft im Restaurant die Außentür geöffnet wird, befindet sich dieser Tisch genau im Zug und ist damit als Platz ungeeignet. Das Personal ist schnell und freundlich. Leider spricht der überwiegende Teil schlecht deutsch, teilweise wurden wir direkt auf englisch angesprochen. Die Speisekarte verspricht so einiges an Gerichten und Gewürzkombinationen. Nur.... wo waren die denn? Wir bestellten ein Fisch- bzw. Lamm Curry. Dazu gab es als Beilage ein Nan-Brot oder ein (angeschlagenes) Schüsselchen Reis. Weitere Beilagen, um auf unsere Teller zumindest einen Hauch von Orient zu zaubern, hätten wir extra bezahlen müssen. Weder Fisch noch Lamm schmeckten gewürzt, bevor sie in einer Schüssel mit der jeweiligen Currysauce serviert wurden. Die geradezu euphorische Anpreisung der Kochkunst auf der Speisekarte und auch bei einigen Bewertungen, haben wir nicht nachvollziehen können. Wir hatten einen Tisch für 18:00Uhr bestellt. Das Restaurant war halb belegt, aber aufgrund der Akustik im Raum, herrschte ein Geräuschpegel wie in einer Kantine. So verließen wir die Wunderwelt der indischen Gewürze nach weniger als einer Stunde. Mein Mann hat sich dann zuhause noch ein Butterbrot zubereitet."

"visit them a family member who had no sushi in a few years, she was thrilled when we suggested it for her birthday, but she said, oh it is so expensive in Germany! So, we were very pleasantly surprised to find that sushi bar had a...19.99 euro all they can eat special. everyone was very friendly, and our birthday girl was thrilled to stuff her face with sushi, and she loved the sushi train absolutely instead of the usual transport band. a small electric scale model railway track surrounds the sushi cook, and the trainers pull flatbed cars with sushi plates on them. She said everything she ate was very good. I thought the mistsuppe would be the best I ever had, and although I myself am not such a fan of sushi, and could not even tell you what I ate, all I tried was good and seemed fresh. the family (I suppose) that leads the restaurant was very friendly, and she was happy. that was my first time in a real sushi bar, and I was a little embarrassing at all the small plates that showed up, but they just smiled and added more dinge in the train. there was no pressure or debt, they seemed just glad we enjoyed it. great deal for a very nice meal, nice casual little place, seemed a lot of regular coming or picking up taking."

"we were in the gas house leve for dinner. as touris we have become aware of it by tripadvisor. But when we wanted to reserve a table for the evening, unfortunately everything was already full. we are still on good luck - and because we were in the opposite - and we had great luck when we got a table out spontaneously. the service was super and the service was extremely friendly. the location above all from the inside is great. the food has tasted us well and was fast at our table. It is hardly that you have entered the spatiality that you are suggesting a noise that promptly reminds me of a market hall in palma de mallorca. loud and full of life. between countless conversations that turn into an impenetrable acoustic twist, and the whisper of the whistle, one hears the sound of Spanish and Latin American music. we're lucky, because there's a table free. where no one should believe that there are few of them here. it's Saturday afternoon, and it's full of what was not expected otherwise. still the cappuccinos are before us, and with the warmth, the remembrance of the cloudy weather is out there. the small warm snacks give the body the necessary energy for another hour shopping. and the personal seems to me today, despite the hectic, at least as friendly as my previous visit. by the way!"

"I was in Muenster for a week, helping my daughter move to a new home. Starving after a full day of hauling things, we looked to the TripAdvisor app to find the closest place, and this came up within walking distance. The first night we went, we had the pizza bread appetizer (which was delicious) and both chose the Linguini with Shrimp Scampi. It was one of the best dishes I've ever eaten, and she raved about her dinner, too. I don't know what they did to the cherry tomatoes in the dish, but I could have eaten a whole bowl of just the tomatoes. We went back the next night for appetizers-also very good- and excellent pizza. Even the coffee was good. The owner or chef was very friendly, and recognized her with extra attention the second night. She is really pleased. As she put it, the prices were on par with a regular old döner place and she'd much rather have good food for the price, and within an easy walk. She plans to go back often. Beautiful view of the small Aasee marina, too, and a very nice building, with both indoor and patio seating. I am surprised the prices were so reasonable, due to the quality of the food, and the fact that it seems to be associated with the yacht club there. Looking forward to coming back to Muenster with my husband and introducing him to a really good restaraunt."

"Sehr lecker! Getrübt, durch angestrengte und leicht überforderte Servicekraft. Missverständnis bei den Zutaten der Vorspeise, Missverständnis bei der Getränkebestellung anstatt einer Flasche Rotwein, wurde 1 Glas Rotwein gebracht. Während unseres Aufenthaltes Tisch für 20:00h reserviert wurde bereits um 21:15h mit den umfänglichen Aufräumarbeiten begonnen. Wohlfühlambiente sieht und fühlt sich anders an! Als zahlende Gäste, fühlten wir uns, zu diesem Zeitpunkt, als Störfaktor. Sicherheitshalber haben wir noch einmal auf der Website vom Moccador, die Öffnungszeit nachgesehen...23:00h! Vielleicht müssten die Servicekräfte, über die Öffnungszeit damit auch Service informiert werden. Ach ja, auch noch wichtig zu wissen, Unterhaltung mit den Begleitern, kaum bis gar nicht möglich. Lautstärke bei voller, bis 90% Auslastung grenzt an unzumutbar/ bis schädigend fürs Gehör! Für diese wirkliche Location, braucht es dringend ein Upgrade Sorry, auch für die Deckenlampen, Anstrich und Sauberkeit im Gastraum . Schade, ein wirkliches gutes Essen wird hier wenig gewürdigt."

"Nach den ersten Versuchen das Overbeck's mit einer echten Speisekarte einer Viertelkneipe zu beerben wurde hier auf gleich zwei erfolgreich getestete Konzepte umgestellt. Die "Cult"-Linie vom Germania-Campus wurde übernommen und so gibt es gleich beide Produkte: Wurst und Burger.Die Kneipe liegt gut im Erphoviertel zentral an der Warendorfer. Man kann schön draußen sitzen und es ist jetzt auch wieder recht gut was los. Die Preise sind nicht niedrig, das Essen ist ok, aber aus meiner Sicht nicht "cult". Aber das Problem haben ja fast alle Gastronomen, die sich selber den "Cult"-Status geben - das überlässt man seriöser Weise einfach den Gästen.Das Personal ist ok, aber lange nicht so individuell, witzig, herzlich und manchmal auch freundlich garstig wie im Vorgänger.Trotzdem kann man hier gerade bei schönem Wetter gut hingehen, wenn man eh in der Nähe ist."
