"Cauchemar in the kitchen! ! Order takeover and expectations so long (really 2h) arrived at 8pm, we left at 10pm without anything in the belly except the drinks (we were 6) and we are not the only ones to have waited... Knowing that the cook is not a octopus, he has only 2 arms (we say the nickname cook when we leave) he is announcing us more! Indeed to manage 20 covers (maximum size of the terrace) it was too much for him that he went to sell cabbage on the beachThere are other reviews about waiting so be careful..."

"C'était une journée spéciale pour nous, nous avons réservé au Tibétan pour être sur de passer une bonne soirée. Niveau lieu superbe, terrasse en bord de mer rien à dire.Tout se déroule bien pour le début jusqu'a ce que ma copine prenne un gaspacho. Par chance, elle s'est rendue compte que quelque chose était dur sous la dent et là ! surprise ! un bout de verre assez petit pour ne pas etre vu mais assez gros pour le sentir dans la gorge ! Le serveur qui au passage très sympathique nous a remplacé le gaspacho. Viens la suite des plats, bon mais sans plus. Le dessert par contre salade de fruit, 4,5 bouts de fruits qui se battent en duel et en plus mou, sans saveur ou alors si celle du fruit bien passé ! Arrive la note on s'attendait à un petit geste pas grand chose au moins le prix de la bouteille d'Evian rien. Pour une soirée spéciale c'était le cas ! j'étais venu 3 ans auparavent c'était excellent ! je ne sais pas si ca a changé de directeur mais en tout cas moi ca a bien changé mon avis !"

"We had come to Easter to discover the restaurant with the aim of organizing our wedding on site. Everything was perfect. The staff who is very attentive and very skilled, the refined dishes with ultra local products and very beautiful quality. So we have been comforted in our idea of making our marriage there and this moment will remain very long in our memory because everything has been perfect. The champagne cocktails given in the park of the hotel, served with care, was very pleasant and in a rare setting that is not found everywhere and especially in our theme. The staff, from the reception to the restaurant room, was very careful with us to make our stay a magical parenthesis. A great thank you to all the teams, the Chief and his brigade, and to all those who took care of us. In addition to the meal and the party we were able to stay in a cottage for two, absolutely magnificent where there again the attentions did not miss. The price in all this has been more than reasonable for a reception of about thirty people and a few days in the cottage. Thank you again for allowing us to realize our marriage in such conditions and in this splendid setting. We look forward to seeing you again. To add some info, the hotel has a beautiful swimming pool and a tennis court. We are on the heights of Evian which offers a superb view of the lake which is a few minutes by car. The funicular stops at 5 minutes on foot as well."

"Lamentable!!! We are with my husband from Google guides confirmed thousands of views. We are not tourists and when we see how we were received, we bother once with a reservation and once without. This is the first time that I put such a low note. The two ladies were contemptuous, the two gentlemen very good. It's a shame because we go out often. The products are correct. a little expensive considering what is done in Thonon and neighboring towns. Our accounts are seen by thousands of people, we are not into easy criticism. This time, another big disappointment."

"Nice promise on the site but very very big disappointment in reality. The photos of the rooms on the site do not correspond to the one we had. It feels like the 80s and without a refresh of this one. The maintenance of the room is half done (shower made every other day, presence of cobwebs and their creators). A little light breakfast and in a cheese region, we dare to put Babybel*, Kiri*, Saint Moret*. There were only 3 poor tome pieces present. Shame!!! Small bonus, sauna included! And yes, 39 degrees in the shade and of course no air conditioning in the rooms. And the only explanation for this absence, we are on heat wave alert and we are a family, we have to live well . Not to mention the accusations of having stained the towels when, for the sake of economy, they were not changed during our stay. Not even a kind word to explain things, with every concern raised the response seemed very aggressive. In summary, boycott this establishment."

"A superb location, excelent pairing, the best service and a dinner to remember, what else? this experience will be at the top of your personal list for a long time. Let’s start with the location; This restaurant is at the Hotel Royal, Evian-les-bains, France. Yes,...this resort is home to the most important women’s golf tournament in the professional circuit. Then you have a great staff, very well trained, enthusiastic and ready to make this experience unforgettable. You will notice it in every detail, from the reception to the service, from the waiter to the chef. Oh la la, The Chef, Patrice Vander already earned this place a Michelin Star and they are working hard for the next one. The degustation menu is outstanding, a rich collection of french flavors, well rounded and balanced with regional notes. The creativity of the chef was present in every single detail including the perfect pairing. I will not try to translate because you cannot translate good taste. In french, Le Légumes d’hiver followed by a magnificent Saint-Jacques and for main course La Poularde de Bresse to finish with La Pomme Granny Smith which was the perfect encore for the dinner. I promise you will enjoy this experience!"

"Amateurs de cuisine nous avons d'abord testés les cours de cuisine du Royal.Nous avons tellement aimé que nous y sommes retournés plusieurs fois pour faire découvrir cette expérience à nos amis, on en ressort à chaque fois avec le sentiment d'avoir vécu un moment privilégié avec les chefs et la brigade. Le plus est que nous sommes en immersion dans les vraies cuisines des fresques et les chefs nous y accueillent avec une bienveillance extrême pour partager plus que la confection d'un repas. Les recettes varient à chaque fois et sont les même que celle de la carte des fresques et nous restons en petit comité (8 pers max).Plus tard nous avons franchit les portes du Royal (qui ne l'oublions pas est un cadre exceptionnel tant par son histoire que par sa beauté) pour prendre le temps d'un menu dégustation. C'était juste divin ! Les plats sont d'une justesse et d'un raffinement que plus d'un restaurant étoilé leur envieraient... nous nous demandons d'ailleurs pourquoi l'équipe n'en a pas encore....et croisons les doigts pour tous pour l'an prochain ;)Encore milles merci pour ces moments inoubliables !!"
