"I ordered a cake for my husband’s 50th Birthday having perused their website and deciding on a cake in the shape of the number 50 to mark this momentous occasion. The girl that took my order asked for a message and knowing that space would be limited, I decided on a short message. She asked me whether I wanted a photo which I had not considered due to the design of the cake but then decided to add this also. I paid for the cake. I collected the cake today and to my horror it was simply just a square cake with no 50! This was supposed to be presented at a surprise party tomorrow- I was so upset and shaking on the verge of tears after all my planning and more than two weeks notice. The staff only made excuses, like the person who took the order would not get things wrong, they didn’t do digits anymore, and there was not enough bakers, yet this was on their website and I had given clear instructions- a square cake could be ordered from anywhere- I was also told that digit cakes were much more expensive and could cost around £70??? I told them that I was willing to pay the costs- buying a cake for an important occasion was not a price problem- I was offered icing of 5 and 0 to be placed on either side of the photo and some cheap number candles. I told them I already had a topper and sparklers which were supposed to go on each of the digits- really disappointed with the service and poor excuses- The cake was supposed to be the centrepiece at the party but the order was not fulfilled"

"it is all to change again, but thanks to the coffee is ace really top notch, shaded and perfectly roasted. funny enough while we find the rich from latte to macchiato, cappuccino by flat white etc. gibraltar is nowhere to find, not as much as. the customized glass. the personal remains as cheerful as always, despite the fact that their business must be desperate, and their reasonable prices remain the same. it's only here again with another lock-off, but the policy doesn't call it a lock. These people are still paid, they enjoy nominated wage increases (imaginable that they can decide on their own wage increases and who have recently given their support staff (in many cases family members a wage (and associated pension) increase. maya like so many companies have lots of things at a theke near the door to sanitise and here is the thing that the type that makes the coffee I can go, feet stand from him and give him money to pay and take a coffee and change from him. but if he had this machine in his kitchen, I couldn't go for a free coffee in his house. I could work with him all day, but I could not sit for a beer with him in a local bar for half an hour, but we could meet in the local church for an hour service. So look. So they think about how important it is to help small independent, especially in these strange times when the only certain are dead, control and grab money, dishonest politicians."

"This is a restaurant within a golf club. My review needs broken down. Six of us dined here and it was our first try out. Firstly, the welcome was 5 star ace. The food on the plate was very tasty; my fillet steak was delicious and it was cooked just as I asked. They had English mustard too, so 5 stars. We had our choice of seating so we sat inside. It was a hot evening the sort of heat I usually pay for by going abroad and it was all very pleasant indeed. There were a few other diners around and it was all very pleasant indeed. So 5 stars. The cappuccino I ordered was great. The service was really haphazard and it was just far too slow. We got apologies. We had only ordered mains and we waited far too long for our food, so 2 stars. The view of our group was that the food portions were ungenerous. I was satisfied with mine, but most others thought had they not ordered extra chips (at additional cost) they would have still been hungry. While they were all happy with the quality of their food I suspect this means most of our group are unlikely to revisit. I asked about vegetarian choices and it became clear there really wasn’t any so I deduce vegetarian and vegan diners shouldn’t bother. This isn’t a criticism it’s a fact, it does not affect the stars and I raise it here only to advise potential guests that these options just aren’t there. This might be different if one books ahead. We got some vegetables (green cabbage, peas, green beans) as sides with the main food orders and these were over cooked. A solid 3 star experience: one away for great slowness and one for portion size."

"I have never left a negative review in my life and I do realize that this is not a Michelin starred Bistro, but dear me, I also think that you can expect some sort of standard when you go out to eat. We went with family on Wake the Giant Weekend . Particularly the best time to visit Warrenpoint and County Down in general. We came to this Hotel recommended by friends. We are from Scotland . It was a two day trip , we stayed at Killeavy Castle . However decided to eat here on Saturday night . But , Unfortunately, the standard at this restaurant was very poor. Where do I start? Having entered the restaurant, we had to wait for several minutes to be greeted, and had to wait 25 mins to be seated for a table we booked a day in advance . It was nearly half an hour over our reservation time , when finally a Blonde Woman managing the diary at the door said that our table is now ready. She greeted us with a fake smile as if she was already pissed off on us coming to the Restaurant. She took us to our table, which was a very small square thing, with not much space for anything, and only about 20 cm away from another table, so actually we might as well join the tables together if we go next time i don 't think so ! . The menu cards ABSOLUTELY disgusting, covered in oil and all sorts of food gravy or residue. We ordered our drinks, and soon enough the 'over enthusiastic ' waitress came back to us saying there will be a 20 min wait on a cocktail would you mind ordering something else instead. The garlic mushrooms I had as my starter, was nothing more than over cooked and almost burnt Tesco 's value garlic mushrooms which cost me nearly a £7.00 ... We ordered our mains and ta dah! six minutes later ?! they arrived. Surprisingly such quick instant service, as if they were sitting at the pass for us to finish our starters . We had fillet steaks which was drenched in OIL, seriosuly, that was almost Steaks in OIL sauce, it was some sort of tepid liquid with an ich layer of oil. When my husband asked for some French Dijon Mustard a surprised waiter pointed out that he was getting drinks for another table so please ask someone else. There was no salt on the table at all and you had to try your hardest to attract someone 's attention to get a bit of salt, which took a while, mu husband had to ask the couple sitting next to us. Honestly, the best bit of food we had there, was the pepper sauce!!!! Honestly, I never complain in a restaurant, because I used to work as a waitress myself, so I know what it’s like sometimes. But Jesus, if you charge people an extortionate amount of money, you must give something back and appreciate the paying customers. The whole thing was a bit like a fast food restaurant focused on quantity of people they serve rather than quality Im afraid. They were more focused on the number of customer they can serve than quality of food . The entire time I was sat inches from the young couple and could hear their entire conversation. I strongly suggest to have less tables there, and give people a bit of privacy when eating and talking and trying to enjoy a meal out. Please focus on quality of food you guys are serving than building up the huge numbers . I will never go there again !!! Don 't be fooled by the photos and publicity. This place is nothing but a hyped up restaurant and the service was very poor. Should have got a takeaway pizza instead ."
