"The restaurant had been recommended by the hotel, it was about a 5 minute's walk, and the menu looked good. It was better than good, the food was delicious! It seemed as though this was very much a neighborhood restaurant, with returning customers, a good sign. A three-course menu was 26 euros, not a bad price at all, especially considering the quality of the food and the unusual combinations of flavors. The chef not only knows what he is doing, he is inventive, we loved the food!! The place quickly filled up and they might have been able to use one more server. As it was, service was deliberate, but never annoyingly slow. Three people did it all, bartend, cook, serve etc. Whatever they did, it worked. We were there for almost 2 hours, savoring and enjoying our food, watching the people, all at an unhurried pace, never feeling we were waiting too long. Wish it were closer, I'd make it my neighborhood restaurant!"
