"Most will think before 5 stars are awarded to a venue of any kind. Well talking to a stranger who had driven one hour to eat at this wonderful Sportsmans arms made the recommendation sound to be the place to eat if you really want to enjoy superbe service, food and setting. Menu can be seen online and prices for staying in this old but tastefully decorated and garden layout. It's just one of those places one will never forget. We went back the next day for lunch it was that good the night before. Not the lowest in price but not the most expensive either, and the food quality is as the saying goes. You get what you pay for."

"We called in yesterday whilst visiting showing our sheep at Nidderdale Show. What a fantastic little place!! The choice of cake/desserts is amazing let alone the actual food itself, absolutely delicious. Friendly and helpful, we will definitely revisit to try the lunch menu and have some more cake????????"
