"We pulled off the highway for a weekday lunch and not only was this a pretty little town, but we were very happy to have stopped in at this tavern-style restaurant. The menu was incredibly only 8.50 euros with a selection of about 8 first and second courses. The dish of the day was lentils, which was superb, and I also had grilled fish which was cooked perfectly. The meals only come with 1 side, either potatoes or a salad, but that was plenty, it was tasty and excellent value. For dessert we had the homemade tarta de galletas or biscuit cake, which I highly recommend if on offer. The service was friendly, and if you engage the owner he is happy to tell you about the local produce, from chorizos to morcillas to olive oils. Highly recommended."
