"place of dishes combined and some pastas. rich food. I ordered lasagna at home and was quite good. ratio quality-price very good. (since it is what it is. a place of combined dishes and not a restaurant of velitas) my admiration for the waitress that is alone for 40 tables. They logically take a little time to serve. "Fuimos a pasar el día en Peñiscola y desde que leímos lo que ofrecían en el restaurante nos llamó la atención por su originalidad. Así que reservamos por WhatsApp e inmediatamente contrataron apartándonos una mesa. Sin duda, una experiencia excelente de principio a fin. La comida exquisita, pedimos varias cosas así que probamos de todo un poco las banderillas de anchoas, las croquetas artesanales, la degustación de quesos, el foie de pato, los huevos con foie y patatas y cerrando con broche de oro con helado de fresa y chocolate exquisitos. 100% recomendado y con ganas de regresar para probar más. La atención inmejorable."

"Hemos comido increíble menú 18€ porque era fin de semana, si vais entre semana son 16€. Todo espectacular, tenéis mucha variedad de elegir en el menú, nosotros elegimos de primero sardinas y chipirones, de segundo arroz caldoso a la marinera (impresionante y con bastante cantidad). Ni un pero. Atencion del personal de 10, limpieza excelente, comida de calidad y precio insuperable. Sin duda si vuelvo Peñiscola volveré a comer aqui. Por cierto somos de Jaén y viajamos en furgoneta. Un saludo al equipo"

"We happened to come across this gem of a restaurant while exploring Peniscola on our last day there. So we decided to have our last dinner in Peniscola at the Hacianda Cabeza de Toro Restaurant and it turned out to be a delightful experience. We were treated to an evening of personal service from our chef, Martin'. He diced, sliced and then showed us all the veggies before preparing them. As he prepared our meal he sang and talked and laughed us to a wonderful culinary experience. The menu is a simple one, but what it lacks in choices, it makes up in fantastic and flavorful cuisine. He then served us our meal of freshly prepared chicken and steak fajitas with sangria blanca. And to top it off, literally, we were given hats by our singing bartender"

"Nos atendieron a 8 personas muy rápido y todo estaba buenísimo. El bocadillo que me comí, número 5 (bacon, francesa, queso, tomate rallado y cebolla) estaba increíblemente bueno. Por lo general me pido estos ingredientes y nunca un bocadillo tan sencillo me había gustado tanto. Me ha sorprendido gratamente. Muchas gracias. Saludos."

"Hemos ido a comer porque ya habíamos estado hace 3 años y lamentablemente no ha sido como la otra vez... Está vez pedimos fideuá y caldereta de rape. La caldereta bien, aunque los mejillones crudos, pero la fideuá nada buena... no la han sacado finita, estaba bastante al dente y con algo de caldo... No creo que vuelva a repetir"

"We've booked a short time before and we've put a table outside, they didn't leave us inside, even though there were enough free tables. They wanted us to leave our baby's car in a gap between two tables that were not ours, but we refused because it is a 7-month-old baby and stays in the car and we could stab it. "While the view is nice the quality of the food is as sub-par and way overpriced. I had the grilled scallops and they were tiny and inedible. My husband had the prawns and there was very little edible meat. The server was inattentive and when we told him about our bad food he didn’t care or offer to make it right. We spent $90 USD for that, two salads and one beer. A big rip off."

"Excelente en todo. Súper amables y profesionales durante toda la cena. Disponen de oferta para celíacos. La parrillada de carne es de máxima nota, y se nota la calidad de la materia prima. Nuestro hijo ha comido una pizza carbonara de 10 (buena cocción y fenomenalmente elaborada). La relación calidad precio es immejorable y realmente hemos podido cenar en un ambiente relajado, al pie del castillo del Papa Luna, en uno, a mi entender, restaurantes de Peñíscola. Lo recomiendo y seguro que volveremos."

"Una magnífica experiencia y un restaurante para volver y repetir, tanto con la calidad de la parrillada como de la paella. Las gambas, los mejillones, las navajas, ... Toda la parrillada estaba fantástica y el producto fresco. Y lo mismo la paella. En nuestro caso un arroz negro que ha dado para 2 platos bien cumplidos y repetir. El vino blanco de la casa muy rico. Parecía que iba a ser mucha comida para dos pero al final nos hemos esmerado y no ha sobrado nada. Por parte del dueño una atención fabulosa que rápidamente nos ha buscado una mesa y por parte de todos los camareros un trato muy bueno. Simpáticos y amables. Llegamos tarde, sobre las 15:30 y nos han tratado genial. Eran las 17:00 y nos estaban esperando para acabar. Muchísimas felicidades por toda la entrega al cliente y tan buen servicio. "A friend and I drove up from Valencia for dinner and a walk. The town was empty and we selected a restaurant based on TA and what looked good on the day. The Real Madrid game was playing on the TV when we sat down and was extremely loud so we asked the waiter to turn it down slightly so we could have a conversation. He was clearly annoyed that we asked and from then on was rude. The food was decent and the portions, especially starters were big. By the end of the meal we were simply handed the card reader and ignored by the waiter."

"Un excelente lugar para comer algo de marisco sin que te duelan los bolsillos. No es el único en donde comer marisco o algún tipo de arroz aderezado con marisco puede resultar asequible. Turistas, visitantes y autóctonos están cansados de que por comer algo de marisco pescado cerca de la costa haya que gastarse el salario de una semana entera. Aquí en peñíscola han conseguido que comer este tipo de comida sea casi una costumbre; el secreto está bien claro, cocinarlo bien y no querer desvalijar a los comensales por el mero hecho de sentarse en sus mesas. La Marisquería La Marinera casi siempre está llena, lo que quiere decir trabajo, empleo y beneficio. Con la misma receta hay varios restaurantes en Peñíscola; a todos ellos, gracias por pensar en nuestros bolsillos."

"Situado en la parte de abajo del castillo. La terraza muy estrecha, una vez en la mesa se estaba bastante bien... Había opción de menú o carta. Escogimos carta. Un pulpo con parmentier de patata y después una fideuá. De postre coulant, bastante rico, el helado de vainilla sin más, muy artificial. La comida estaba buena y de raciones muy generosas. Calidad precio bastante bien. Servicio correcto."

"The vino blanco I ordered was red but quickly fixed and generous serving for the price of €2.85. The spring roll vegetarian was overcooked and a rectangle not a roll and had meat in it! Crab soup, though tasty (of fish not crab) did not have fresh crab, rather cuts of processed faux crab meat and whole corn kernels not crushed per normal and some spring onions suspended in a glutenous and thick clear broth. Worst though was the main of Chicken with almonds. Having eaten Chinese food extensively through China, Macau and Hong Kong I was expecting braised chicken with whole or sliced almonds but received a deep fried crumbed chicken schnitzel with a few crushed almonds atop, much more suited to a burger and ice-cream Sunday respectively. Positives, menu in multi languages including English, huge variety, banquet on busier nights it seems, good house wine. Clear wind protectors surrounding the outdoor seating detracted from the stunning Mediterranean views which was unnecessary for the weather conditions on this night and the tv with games shows and news would have been well replaced with music for some atmosphere. One of my 3 stars was for the wine and fact they were open unlike 75% of the surrounding restaurants! And another for the surprising and complimentary Apple liquor shot when I asked for the bill- Gratis"
