"A rare evening out with the husband. We each had a starter, main, shared cheese board, dessert, coffee, and the other half had a 1/2 bottle of good wine. For all of these high quality local ingredients, the bill was around £150. Which we felt was very good value. I highly recommend the Crab Florentine and wish I had it as a main and not just a starter! Home made treacle tart was divine! Some might feel the restaurant is a bit dated, but I say it is traditional, just right. A family business, doing what they know and enjoy, and doing it well. Service unrushed, personable, chef checking we were happy a nice touch!"
