We are offered a table even if we haven't booked what is rather nice except that the gentleman who welcomes people will do the same to everyone (genre, I'm full, you should have booked, if it's good I have a table...)Prices still high for what it is but good it's tourist. kitchen not especially very good or bad. staff not especially very kind, nor impolite. "It all started well with our entrance, nice presentation and good pesto sauce. However, we had difficulty finishing our dishes, the fries were unshakeable and full of fat.. we made the problem to the server, which had the kindness to check and ask in the kitchen. We were told that fries were cooked in beef fat that was probably due to that. Too bad not to inform customers of this subtlety. People can follow a certain diet: vegan, vegetarian, casher, halal etc... It's a detail that can be of its utmost importance."

"Exceptional location with port view, very warm service and excellent cuisine! I recommend the menu of the castle that allows to have a variety of very good dishes with fresh seafood. The waitresses Brigitte, were very pleasant and took the time to tell us a few little anecdotes! We loved it! We recommend and return without hesitation! From the entrance, to the dish, then the dessert that was changed to us for the occasion of a birthday and to finish with a digestive and a coffee. Thank you very much for this meal that was key to our stay."

"I want to thank the whole team. Especially the young man who was on the grill. I arrived at 2:30. The team almost set everything. I was gonna take a dessert. "The lunchtime "menu du Jour" sounded simple but plain - assette de crevettes, loin de porc with Noirmoutier potatoes and dessert. The meal was anything but simple - 8 or 9 enormous meaty prawns with and excellent mixed salad and a pot of mustard mayonnaise followed by, probably, half a pork loin in the most delicious sauce with a wire basket of beautifully fried potato cubes. The desert was delicious too.At 12 Euro 50, not the cheapest meal of the 3 week holiday but certainly the best and the best value. Half a litre of decent red wine for 8 Euro wasn't bad either."

"Came here for my main summer holiday, and wasn't disappointed. Very clean and friendly site. In a fantastic area of France. Easy reach of several beaches either by cycle or car. Close to a beautiful canal with kayaking which is cheap for 30 Euro for 3 hours. Picnic is lovely area and is a very picturesque ride of just 2.3 miles from the site. The site is clean and pools are brilliant. They have various theme nights in the bar area, such as a band, magician, sport nights, bingo. My only downsides which do niggle me.....lack of toilet seats...I know in France they do it different....but I was so glad to sit on a normal seat in the UK. Plugs or warmer water in the sinks for washing up, due to the lack of plugs I noticed that majority of people don't take a bowl to the sinks and they use up all the hot water rinsing on plates....Please put plugs in the sinks.....its better the the environment using less water. Last moan is the food....its fantastic but in general only available in the evening, which is a shame if you fancy a hot snack relaxing by the pool. However if you could ignore my moan it's defiantly up there with some of the best sites. Loved it!"
