"We had a lovely family meal to celebrate Christmas the New Year. The atmosphere was fabulous it was busy but the service was outstanding. The food here is excellent, the lasagne is the best this side of Italy! The team are welcoming and friendly without being intrusive, it’s just a lovely place to relax, have a drink and eat."

"I've had lots of takeaways from here and usually they are really good but tonight, it was simply awful it was soooo salty that it was inedible how you can make a chicken pineapple dish so salty with not a single trace of any sweetness is a mystery. New chef? Thought about driving it back and asking for a refund as simply couldn't eat it at all but it's been an incredibly long day and I wanted something simple so that I didn't have to cook Won't return sadly"

"a last minute away family arrival coupled with a desire to dinate out instead of preparing a meal home, prompted us the river wyre. we had many nice meals there, so it was not difficult to arrange at the venue. we have booked after the first registration of our data online with ease. it was early for an evening meal, but when our family member had traveled from kent, he was in great need of a considerable meal. we were shown by a nice young courtesy man at our table and advised how to order properly. the process was effortless and as well as an excellent menu the visit was made better by a good selection of real ales that went very well. do not hesitate to recommend the river wyre."
