"we're staying out of place for a couple and thought we'd get out to dinner. it's a few of the best food we've ever eaten! we managed to park and sit outside, although we had no reservation. we started with lick and potato soup that was perfectly seasoned, really tasteful and creamy. we had both the meatburger, who tasted so juicy and fresh, the fries and the koleslaw were delicious and homemade smashed. we both felt so full, but couldn't turn off dessert, my partner had cheesecake and I had the parfait. both had a wonderful mix of aromen and we left the feeling filled! our server was so beautiful and attentive, but in no way overlaid or disturbing and helped us to book for the next night when we are happy to try the steaks! she told us that the meat for the burgers and steaks from the metzgers came directly over the street. can not wait to come back! even more after we have refunded the bill, and the total was about 50%. brilliant chef, beautiful staff, incredibly expensive."

"We were visiting nearby Caersws and the owner of our holiday let recommended here. There isn 't a car park but there is plenty of on street parking. When we walked in, they were just opening up but they got us all a drink whilst they were getting our table ready. We were shown to the restaurant which was really lovely and quite a surprise. There wasn 't a vast choice on the menu, and whilst 5 of us knew what we wanted, my fussy adult son turned his nose up. But after speaking to the friendly waitress she offered him sausage and mash which was ideal for him. 3 of our party had a starter before moving onto the mains. 2 of them had the brie sharing board which they really enjoyed. They would have liked a few more slices of the crispbread to go with all the yummy grey cheese and my son had soup which he enjoyed. For the mains I had chicken, which was lovely and really well presented. But I wish I 'd have chosen the fish that my mum and daughter in law ordered as it looked delicious a.d I live cod. My husband had a steak, and my eldest son had lamb. They were all presented perfectly and we all demolished our food. I don 't usually order a dessert, but as my son wanted to eat just about every one of the menu, I agreed to order one so we could all 'share '. The panna cotta and sticky toffee pudding were amazing. The restaurant was full for a Thursday night and I can understand why. A lovely recommendation if you fancy good quality food in pleasant surroundings"

"We had a lovely carvery here today (Sunday) more than I could eat. I had beef and turkey and as much vegetables as I could get on the very large plate I took a few slices home with me it was delicious and extra gravy was brought to our table. We have already booked for next Sunday. My husband has difficulty walking ,and with not many packing places the lady that served us food offered to move her car so he could come up closer to the door so very thoughtful of her. Staff could not do enough for you. Highly recommended. Les and veronica"

"When walking past it looked like a lovely cafe however when we sat down and ordered we found a coating of dust of the dado rails next to our table, the toilet had a weird smell of dampness, there was dust all over the skirting...boards and dust in the top of the toilet lid. (However it wasnt a urine smell and no urine stains in sight, must be the only good thing out of our visit food arrived, sausages were out of a frozen bag as if they were sainsburys basics, bacon was tough, the lasagne tasted really fatty however it was homemade but a frozen one would of tasted nicer compared to this, ordered a Brie bacon and cranberry sandwich on brown bread however it came out on white bread. Also the tea was too weak stirred and stirred the pot so I dread to think that the tea bags were re-used or there really really cheep. We were greeted nice by waiter, wait was too long, price was too high especially for the standard. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND OR GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN FOR TWO REASONS, HYGIENIC REASONS AND REALLY POOR FOOD. How can you mess a pot of tea up "

"This was our first visit to Brecon and we decided to explore the city. As we were walking past, we noticed a pizza place with reviews saying "best pizza I ever had" and many others echoing the same sentiment. Intrigued, we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. It was the most delicious, crispy, and well-made pizza that my partner and I had ever tasted. I finished my entire plate in under 10 minutes and we already know that we will be ordering from there again before we leave for England."

"We ordered some pizza over the phone for a family movie night and they gave us a time to collect... I arrived to pick up the pizzas and they were just finished in time which was perfect... Every single pizza was absolutely delicious and the coleslaw was also amazing... The staff were welcoming and kind and were also very friendly. I would definately recommend ordering from here for the best pizza in mid-wales!!! Food: 5"

"We hadn't been in ages for a roast but decided to visit on Sunday. How glad were we! The Roast was excellent, beef especially was soft and tender and some of the best I've had. Service was ok but petered out once we had eaten and dessert menus were left in front of us for 30 minutes until we decided we'd just skip it and get the bill and go home to digest. We'll be back soon. Price per person: £20–30"

"My husband, puppy, and I enjoyed a wonderful midweek getaway to celebrate our puppy's first birthday. The hotel's well-maintained grounds were perfect for our puppy to run around, and its secluded location away from main roads made for a quiet stay. The hotel is very dog-friendly, with several other visitors also bringing their furry friends. There was only a £10 extra charge per night for our puppy to stay with us in the room. The rooms were comfortable and clean, as were the other areas of the hotel. The service was friendly, and the hotel had a well-stocked bar. Breakfast was delicious and included in the room cost. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodations in the area. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable, with beds that felt like sleeping on pillows. The hotel's bar was well stocked, and the breakfast options were great. Unfortunately, the restaurant at the hotel had closed down."

"We had a pleasant lunch at this restaurant. They offer mainly light meals, but also have options like Gammon and chips. We both ordered cheese and ham toasties, which were generously sized and served with salad and crisps. They also offer homemade cakes and ice cream, which looked tempting. We visited on a Wednesday when there were limited dining options available, so we were happy to have found this place. They have outdoor seating as well. Overall, we would come back if we were in the area again."

"We had a meal here on a Wednesday evening and the service was really great and the staff were friendly. The food was delicious, particularly the vegetable curry. The apple crumble and custard was one of the best I've tasted for a long time! If we're in the area again we'll definitely come again! Service: 5"
"This is our first visit to this superb venue and it won't be the last. The food was absolutely fabulous, presentation, taste and service. A really good establishment for food, drink and a wonderful place to meet friends or business partners. Excellent and great for all. Welll worth many a visit. Parking: Plenty of space for parking. Kid-friendliness: Families are very welcome, feel at home. Price per person: £10–20"

"I am honestly baffled by all the good reviews on here! Staff were friendly but food was pretty awful. Maybe we were just really unfortunate or maybe we have high standards but we thought our meal was really quite bad. Some dishes reasonably nice (slaw and spinach parcels), some sort of ok (watery, tasteless squash gratin, tasteless stuffed pepper) and some truly terrible (2 tiny morsels of floppy skinned chicken that tasted boiled, bulked out with fried potatoes swimming in water). They took the chicken off the bill. But worst of all was a crème Catalan (crime brûlée) that was totally split and grainy really unpleasant and just wrong. But by that time we couldn’t be bothered to raise another issue so just paid and left. Really don’t know how a place can serve food this bad and seemingly still be very popular. Hay needs better!"

"Amazing Nepali cuisine with friendly staff who cater to South Asian tastes. The atmosphere is cozy, although tables could be a bit closer together. Dining in for dinner is recommended, with prices ranging from £20-30 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a top rating of 5. Recommended dishes include the Lamb Gurkar Curry with Mushroom Rice and a Sweet Naan, as well as the Poppadom."

"The place is nice, the staff friendly but not sure how it works. We arrived there after a long hike early afternoon and we were seated and ordered food. But 10 min later they were thing people no food because the kitchen was closing despite being in the time range stated on the menu. Anyhow all in all a nice place to eat a quick bite with prices on the upper side Service: Dine in"

"The food and drinks at this restaurant were fantastic! We enjoyed a delicious homemade Sirloin steak and Thai chicken curry. The chef personally came to our table and provided recommendations, which were greatly appreciated. We will certainly return when we are in the area again. The price per person was £10–20, and we rated the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5."

"Ordered online for a takeaway for collection, received an email confirmation with a different time to what was requested, we put this down to the restaurant being possibly busy. On return home, we noticed that we received different items to what was ordered so we contacted the restaurant to let them know, the staff who answered the phone repeatedly told me “no” and that what we received was correct. I ordered two different starters and a chicken tikka massala, however received two portions of onion bhajis and a different curry. The staff member kept telling me I was wrong, however my confirmation email receipt clearly states a sheek and shami kebab starters. I would have been ok with onion bhajis however customer service was not evident from this restaurant and came across rude. Unhappy with the customer service but overall curry was ok. Not the best but not the worst."

"Our experience at Little Italy was fantastic. My wife, our two children, and I enjoyed a delicious meal at La Terraza. It was our first meal out since the pandemic and it exceeded our expectations. We arrived early and were seated promptly. The service was exceptional, with a special shoutout to the attentive waitress. Our food arrived quickly, hot, and fresh, with the pizza being a hit with our daughter. The desserts were also a highlight, not too heavy but very tasty. It can be risky trying a new restaurant while on vacation, but we had no regrets dining at Little Italy."
"Bar man was snarky, made comments and eyeballed us the moment we walked in as hikers. We went in to order food and have a pint after being out in the sun all day. A friend was looking for a socket and he stopped us ordering to say chargers had to be pac tested so we wouldn't charge. As I went to a pint, asked me multiple times what I wanted as he was looking at our table. Told us we couldn't eat out own sandwiches with a smirk on his face and roll of the eyes... Explained to him that was a teddy and we'd take out custom elsewhere following the attitude. He proceeded to tell us that we'd have a bit of a walk. I'll take the walk over the attitude. No wonder the place was empty at 4pm"
"Very disappointed, it was recommended by several people, and we looked forward to going, on arrival we were seated in the bar only to be confronted by someone eating their dinner with a big dog on their lap, we ordered drinks and our food, on arrival the steaks, which we were advised were supplied by the farmer who owned the pub and were good, were in fact not, very thin and overcooked, we decided nor to complain but did not finish our meals, the chips were also overcooked, however we asked by one of the staff about our experience and advised her of our dissatisfaction, she apologised and removed on of the steaks from the bill. I do like original and historical places but this place is in a very poor state of repair, the toilets which are across the road are best described as agricultural, very poor, would not like to have to go ther on a wet winters evening, sorry, we will not return"

"My partner and I stopped by this restaurant in Sennybridge for dinner during our walking holiday with our dogs. The restaurant is pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for us. The exterior of the restaurant looked dull and outdated, but once inside, we were pleasantly surprised by the modern decor and large screen TVs. We were the only customers on a Sunday evening at 6.30pm, so service was fast. Unfortunately, they did not have Guinness available, so my husband settled for a Staropramen instead. There were no starters on the menu, so we opted for some cheesy garlic bread and chicken fillets as appetizers. When it came to our main courses, several items on the menu were not available, so I went for the peppered beef and my husband had the surf and turf. The food quality was average, resembling oven food. Despite this, the service was speedy and our waiter was incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially with our dogs. Overall, the staff at this dog-friendly pub were lovely, but the food and drink options were limited in terms of quality and variety."
