"Hatte gehofft, eine wirkliche Bereicherung der Saarlouiser Gastro-Szene anzutreffen. Bin aber leider heute bei meinem Besuch kulinarisch enttäuscht worden. Mein Gesamteindruck: Die telefonische Reservierung war etwas befremdlich, da sich dort regelmäßig ein Herr mit einer undefinierbaren Begrüßung am Telefon meldet, so dass man sich fragt, ob man sich evtl. verwählt hat. Wurde dann aber an eine sehr nette Dame verbunden, die die Reservierung entgegengenommen hat. Die Einrichtung und Gestaltung des Restaurants war nur im EG, habe das 1. OG nicht gesehen) ist ansprechend. Auf der Internetseite des Restaurants wird mit der Aussage einer Dame namens Marie geworben ˋ Das schönste Restaurant, das ich je gesehen habe ˋ. Nichts für ungut Frau Marie, aber von einer solchen Aussage bin ich weit entfernt. Aber über Geschmack lässt ja bekanntlich streiten und außerdem liegt der absolute Schwerpunkt. meiner Bewertung auf dem kulinarischen Erlebnis. Zugegebenermaßen ist kalter Reis und roher Fisch in Punkto Aromen eine eher zurückhaltende und filigrane Angelegenheit. Allerdings kann ich nach meiner in dieser Hinsicht doch recht umfangreichen Erfahrung sagen, dass Sushi, welches mit fein gesäuertem und gewürztem Reis und Fisch in entsprechender Qualität zubereitet wurde und mit einer aromatischen Sojasauce kombiniert wird ein absoluter Hochgenuss sein kann. Unser heutiges Sushi-Erlebnis war leider ohne jeglichen Genuss. Der Reis wirkte völlig ungewürzt, der Fisch war durch die Bank nichtssagend. Das hätte man ja noch teilweise mit einer aromatischen Sojasauce kompensieren können, aber hierhin lag dann leider der kulinarische Totalschaden: Die Sojasauce war total dünnflüssig und schmeckte sehr stark nach Essig. Die Sojasauce war leider mein persönlicher Supergau. Auch der Wasabi war im Vergleich mit dem was ich kenne merkwürdig. So gut wie keine Schärfe, und ich bin in dieser Hinsicht sehr sensibel. Kein Aroma. Aber grün war er. Hm ? Leider war auch die Mango völlig geschmacksneutral. Erfahrungsgemäß ist der Kauf von Mangos oft ein Glücksspiel in Sachen Aroma, aber es gibt auch hier Qualitätsunterschiede, die man durch gezielte Auswahl beim Einkauf abfangen kann. Der Service war soweit ok, etwas unaufmerksam, kann ich aber drüber hinwegsehen. Waren wohl etwas überlastet. Hätte mir gewünscht, dass man ab und zu mal mit offenem Blick in den Gastraum schaut, ob jemand signalisiert, dass er noch etwas bestellen oder zahlen möchte. Da uns das Essen eh keinen Spaß gemacht hat, ist uns erst auf der Heimfahrt aufgefallen, dass die Suppen, die wir bestellt und bezahlt haben, gar nicht serviert wurden ! Also alles in allem keine Alternative zu dem kleinen, hervorragenden Sushi-Restaurant in der Sonnenstraße, wo man phantastisch schmeckende, creative Sushi-Köstlichkeiten genießen kann."

"Autumn 2021 visited my home region and we camped on the town square in Saarlouis. On this occasion the visit of the table with relatives was announced in a restaurant. Since we had seen this place some time ago, we chose the Oympia. Unfortunately, there is no website for the local. First with little man-woman (3 persons) we were looking for the Greek restaurant Olympia. The ambience is so lal, with the usual pitch of debris miniatures (greens etc.). I did not take photos (forgot device). Otherwise, the ambience is bright and cozy. Corona vaccination pass or test was needed, which was not a problem. The owner and apparently serve his daughter himself, his wife is in the kitchen. We were welcomed as first guests and led to a table on the windows. As a drink the following was ordered: 1 Pils 0.25 L for 2.50€ 1 primordials dark 0.50 L for 4.50 € 1 Afri Cola ligth 0.4L for 4.10 For consumption there was: As a supplement 1 Peperoni Grill for 5,00 € 1 peasant plate for 15,00 € 1 Olympic plate for 17.50 € 1 Moussaka for 14.50 € At the end 1 Greek mokka and 1 espresso for each 2,00 Overall, the service worked perfectly. Drinks and also food came in a reasonable time. All were very happy with the offer. The portions were too big for us. Only I fed my very good Moussaka full size. The residues were packaged separately for removal. We were happy and because of the good quality the visit was announced for the next day with a bigger man woman. This time we appeared with a total of 5 people. What was drunk and fed in detail is evident from the photo for the invoice. Zz has paid a total of €123.80. All were papsate and rest were packed. Because of the convincing quality, it was again a Moussaka. Due to the friendliness of the host family and the quality of food, we visited the restaurant several times in the following days. Conclusion: Ambience: 4* Food and Beverages 5* Service personnel 5* Cleanliness of sanitary facilities 5* Price ratio 5* I agree with another judge that the Olympia is probably the best Greek in Saarlouis."

"General: Last Saturday, in the Mediterranean, a restaurant focusing on Croatian cuisine in the deep Bremer North, the host and cook came to us and complained that Balkan cuisine was no longer in demand with the “young people”. After Dubrovnik in Saarbrücken it was the Dalmacija in Saarlouis this time. I therefore like to rate the price-performance ratio only with three stars. Service: The Dalmacija is a family restaurant. The host woman will get the service. A young man, probably a grandson, hung around with his smartphone inactive at a table at the counter. In the kitchen passage there were an older man, perhaps the host and chef and a middle-aged woman, whom I would like to call a daughter or daughter-in-law for the family job. The host woman was polite, but not just talking to strangers, although I had delivered a template with my question of history. When a couple of regular guests appeared, the greeting was very personal and Mrs Radic took place at the table for a longer chat. My beers came quickly and also the foods with pleasant waiting times, so in particular no quick feeding given the boredom in the kitchen. At our Jugos in Bremen you will be pampered with Julischka to the house. Two per head are at least in there. In Dalmacija there is a Kruskovac for adoption. Julischka is not listed on the map. But you get it and the double of the most self-mixed classic stands on the Bon with proud 5,00 €. The TV beer Bitburger costs, referenced to 0.3 l, €2.64 and is still within the frame price. But then you lift up in Dalmacija: 0.5 l SP come to 4.50 € and 0.75 l to 8.00 € maybe a print error and it is a liter bottle. The six open standard wines cost all 6.50 € for the glass 0.2 l. She was served in a small soup cup medium hot. The inlay was partly already quite boiled and a mix of Kidney beans, white beans, tube onions, salad cucumber. I remember a little bacon. Tastefully she went fine, but made a sweet impression. There was a basket with crispy white bar bread. Ms. Radic brought two sauces to the soup. Once Ajvar and once white with garlic. The Ajvar was advertised as sharp, which I would be entitled to “pikant”. It had a slightly acidic note, so I suspect Sambal Olek as an ingredient. The garlic sauce was based on mayonnaise and deserved its name; so it was alioli. Both shelves were cunningly filled. The grill plate €16.50 with Raznjici, Pljeskavica, Cevapi, kl. Rumpsteak, kl. Schweinsteak and Speck was well documented without “beating”. The Cevapcici were reluctant. The Pljeskavica as another minced pork garlic had perhaps been further reduced if I have to name a difference. Also the other grills made of muscle meat were tasteful for confusing; in the bite pleasantly mürbe. It was too imaginative. The very big pommes were fine, although I prefer thin pommes. The Djuvecreis with pepper pieces very soft and from the good, dressed, chopped onions it should have been a bit more. The supplemental salad consisted predominantly of large leaf sections of the green salad, to which a large crust of a white standard dressing with dill was given. Clearly better the refreshing herb salad. In the transverse comparison, the kitchen performance was unfortunately only average and is well decorated with 3.5 stars. Ambiente: The Dalmacija, like all restaurants in the Kasematten, has a spacious free area with an appealing furniture. Inside, the low cross arch with dark clinker stones impresses the impression. The floor is tiled, colourful in the style of the seventies. The decoration is maritim, up to a large fishing net. Since only a few days' visibility occurs, the atmosphere is somewhat cumbersome, but each table is sufficiently illuminated with a rustic copper lamp. The tables are well dimensioned and generous. The music sounding consists of folklore and percussion, whose Dalmatian provenance I have heard. The toilets also have decades on the hump and several holes in the tiles testify to changes in the equipment. They were clean and functional. Cleanliness: Nothing to complain."
