"My wife and I dined at this restaurant on Sunday 7 August. We waited in a queue to be seated at a table by the owner. After waiting for 10 minutes he came over with a table cover to cover the dirty plastic table and immediately took our order (there are no menus). We ordered soup and a salad starter none of which came with any bread (which is standard practice). We ordered a bottle of wine to go with our bottle of water but were only give one glass each, when we requested a second glass, we were told this was a simple working restaurant and there were not enough glasses for everyone to have two each!! In the meantime other customers had been taken to tables without enough chairs for them to sit on and they were left standing until the chairs in the restaurant could be juggled around accordingly. Our main courses of Tuna arrived and again still no bread. We then made a request for bread and the owner then took bread off two separate tables which customers had vacated and then served us with the left over bread!!In all our years of dining out we have never seen anything like this before. When we challenged the owner about this, he said "we throw nothing away". Which makes me wonder what exactly goes on in the kitchen that we cannot see!!St Jean de Luz is a busy seaside town with many restaurants and this one should be avoided, don't be fooled by the queue for tables."
