"We were driving towards St Florent which is at the bottom end of the west side of Cap Corse, in the north of Corsica. The road was quite windy and treacherous and at about one o'clock we stopped at a lovely looking roadside restaurant. This turned out to be a hotel as well and seemed to be a base for off-roading up in the mountainous desert. The restaurant was called U Santu Petru and it was near the village of Saleccia. We had a delightful pasta lunch served outside overlooking the amazing countryside. The staff were happy and obliging and nothing seemed a problem for them. It was a busy little place with lots of people stopping off just to have a look at the view. Certainly if you are driving on this road, this is the place to stop."
