"Only stopped in for a drink on the way to a concert venue. It was partly to get local information on where the venue was, however i felt i should have a drink. The service was good, the lady behind the bar was struggling with a previously injured had, but she was cheery and helpful with the directions as was a local sitting at the bar. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 4"

"high quality food service. fantastic location on the outskirts of giggleswick. and eat to die. The best homemade brot is what I have ever tasted with an amazing suppe of the day. . hauptspork with crisp best I ever had. massive yorkies. also they do gluten-free eating so celiac well maintained. yorkies again for my wife were great. great atmosphere and excellent service they will get along they will not be disappointed"

"Worst Indian I have ever had. We ordered poppadoms to start (got one each priced at £5) ordered an onion Bhaji to start he asked if I wanted it with my main but I said no as a starter but it still arrived with the main course. The jalfrezi was bland, not spicy. No chillis as you would usually find in a jalfrezi. Asked for a Diet Coke with my meal it never arrived so a good job it wasn’t spicy as I ate my meal with no drink. My partner got the buffet which was stone cold. The waiters response was people keep leaving the kids open . Is this not a health and safety issue? He ordered a tikka massala from the menu instead which arrived with about 3 pieces of chicken in. Told waiter the meal was rubbish but he couldn’t care less. Avoid at all costs"

"Well let me set the mood it’s a Sunday night me and the wife are hungry as we missed dinner we had seen this place a few times as we shopped in settle and the advertisement said the best steak in settle so we wondered in at about 7pm and the place was a ghost town it looked like they just opened and the owner looked like he had just had 10 rounds with aj the night before as we was seated I began to look at the decor and finish of the interior (as I’m a construction site manager so it’s just a thing I do) Iat a glance it looked authentic to the old country steak house it was trying to portray then I looked deeper and the cracks started to show it was abit fake to me there is a wall (where we sat) that was just mirrored and couldn’t understand why the ceiling looked like it had been put up 30yrars ago it wasn’t clean and it had 2 “oak beams” what was absolutely diabolical they were imatational and bad at that anyways let’s get to the food we ordered wings,mozzarella sticks,the fully loaded burger and the enchiladas..... well the wings smelt and tasted like wet dog I was almost sick then we move onto the burger with home “made chips” well when I was a young en my mother use to make home made chips and they were great and still love them to this day well...... the very first time I tried to copy my mothers and I made the mistake of putting the chips in before the oil was at desired temperature and I left them on the side when I cooked them and when I tried them let’s just say I would never forget the tast (horrible cold over cooked and was saturated in fat) well that’s the only way to describe them and the wife didn’t like the cheese sticks and the enchiladas and nachos were very rip off and bland.... so to top it off we left the food and paid the bill (I didn’t want to pay but the wife didn’t want to make a scene so we left I wound not even rate this one star let alone 5 star that they say on the door"

"over many times, but never stopped. this time we decided to try and so glad we did. the sunday roast, which I can honestly say, had one of the best I ever had, and I am very fussy. the bratbeef was tender and very tasty. the bratkartoffeln were crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. the yorkshires were the best I've ever tried. asked if we wanted to be extra serious, yes, please. will be there without doubt."

"This restaurant was recommended to us through information at our accommodation. When we went into book at lunchtime for dinner we were given a warm welcome and the booking was soon taken. On arrival we were promptly shown to our table with menus. Order taken and food served in good time. We had the bruscetta with red onion and goats cheese. It was moist and full of flavour. As well, we chose the homemade beefburger with chips, coleslaw and fried onions. This was lovely, though the chips had been salted which was a shame For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream (shared). This was flavoursome and very filling. With drinks and a tip the bill came to £37 which we felt was very reasonable. Would recommend if you are in Settle or staying nearby."

"I’m a local and having read the good reviews we were looking forward to a nice meal. I ordered a Lasagne but sadly it was the worst thing I had ever tasted it was incredibly strong to the point that I’m sure it was off, the other person I was with tasted it too and thought the same and it smelled so bad I had to ask the waitress to take it away. As we left another couple were paying in front of us and we had a good look at the kitchen which to be honest looked less than hygienic with tubs of food on the floor. I don’t like giving bad reviews and from the ones I read it looks like the Pizza may be ok but I’m afraid what I saw and tasted has put me off for life and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone."
