"We had a buy a gift voucher for an afternoon tea, and thought we’d try and use it while we were in Southend. We’re very glad we did! We were greeted at the door by a very smiley young lady, who gave us a choice of seats and explained how things worked. Then, once we were settled, Janneca, our waitress, went through what we were entitled to from our voucher, took our preferences, checked about allergies and carried on with her work. Within a couple of minutes our drinks were brought to the table, and then our food arrived, which was absolutely delicious, not long after. Janneca checked that we were okay several times, always with a smile, asked if we needed a refill, and still coped with other customers, cleared tables and greeted people. In fact, the whole team were a very hard working group of ladies. Well done Patisserie Valerie Southend, we will most certainly be back! Special thanks to Janneca for making our visit so lovely.
