"The menu isn't extensive, but everything is well-prepared, and they offer several vegetarian options too. We happened to arrive on 'pie night' during the week, and the homemade pies were fantastic! We enjoyed them so much that we ordered the same ones the next night—now that speaks for itself! The Steak and Stilton and Ham and Leek pies were particularly delicious. I highly recommend them.
What really makes this place stand out is the warmth of the community, from the locals to the staff. The younger staff members were especially friendly and happy to chat, making us feel right at home. Whether this is just how they are or if Johnnie, the landlord, encourages this atmosphere, I applaud it—it truly makes a difference.
