"The trip to Anières can be made by (infrequent )bus, or by car.There is a convenient underground public parking 3min.walk from Le Cottage ! You hardly see the inn as you approach it...it is almost hidden behind a hedge which hides a nice, shady...terrace The reception is courteous and friendly, in the traditional low key swiss manner.Sitting in the shade of a tree or a sunshade you relax with a cool glass of chasselas ,a wine while you peruse the menu.Of course there are the traditional filets de perche, the genuine ones, not the ones imported from Hungary or Baltic countries..but whatever is on offer on the slender but well conceived menu is worth your attention, including the venison during the autumnal season (la chasse).After a good meal taste their desserts before leaving for a stroll through the village and the countryside.You'll come back if you have the occasion to do so !"

"An einem warmen, sonnigen Nachmittag suchte ich nach einem schönen Ort, um eine Kaffeepause zu genießen. Überraschenderweise fand ich nur zwei Restaurants am See Les R Gates war eines davon.Das Restaurant (das eher ein Café ist) zieht Gäste dank seiner unschlagbaren Lage direkt am Versoix Bootsanleger an. Essen und Service sind jedoch nichts, worüber man nach Hause schreiben kann.Der Service ist enttäuschend: Obwohl nicht unfreundlich, sah der Kellner nicht sehr motiviert aus. Außerdem konnte ich andere Mitarbeiter an der Bar laut plaudern hören.Ich bestellte das Coupe Maison 3 Messlöffel Fruchtsorbet, Schlagsahne, Maraschino. Weder gut noch schlecht eher leidenschaftslos.Coupé Maison, 0. 5 l Rivella und ein Kaffee führten zu einer Rechnung von CHF 21. 80, was nicht billig ist.Zusammenfassend war die gesamte Erfahrung durchschnittlich weder schrecklich noch hervorragend. Aber ich werde wahrscheinlich nicht zurückkommen."

"Wir waren hier mit einer großen Gruppe von Kollegen und das Personal gab sich die größte Mühe, uns in dieses kleine Restaurant. Das Personal war freundlich und sprach gut Englisch, das ist sehr geschätzt wenn es überträgt Diaetwuensche. Das Essen war lecker und der Service kam mit einem Lächeln und einem können Sie die Einstellung. Preis/Leistung gut Essen für die Schweiz. Einfach eine Schande, dass man kein Alkohol Lizenz."

"My husband and I went to this restaurant on an early Saturday evening without any reservation, and we were given a warm welcome nevertheless (usually a reservation is de rigor on Saturdays in Geneva); so that was a good start. The views were fantastic and added to the nice feeling of being there. We ordered fish dishes from the Lake itself - a bit pricey - but then they weren't frozen fish. My husband's dish - le fera - was excellent though the steamed potatoes could be better. My dish - Geneva filets de perch - was excellent, served with crunchy fries and tartare sauce. My dish came automatically with delicious fresh salad with vinaigrette dressing. And although my husband's dish didn't come with one, they gave him a salad just the same, so that was very nice! After we savoured our food, we couldn't order any more (dessert nor coffee) as were were stuffed and we wanted to guard the taste from the wonderful fish. And the server (maybe he was the owner?), after being told that we didn't want to order anymore, said that we should anyway stay as long as we want and enjoy - which we certainly did! A VERY VERY NICE EVENING INDEED!"

"Nous sommes allés manger aujourd'hui dimanche 16 août à l'O'FIVE restaurant à Versoix. Tout était parfait.Le service,les mets,le cadre.Je donne 10 sur 10 à ce magnifique restaurant.Le personnel est si aimable ça m'a donner chaud au coeur. Seul bémol les avions qui passe par-dessus tout les 15 minutes."

"Probably I had too high expectations, but… 1 The dishes were just... OK. And definitely not corresponding to Mechlin standards: Several dishes from the menu were not available; Food was fresh, but rather mediocre. Boring recipes. Big piece of plastic packing in sorbet....2 The service was literally awful for the restaurant of such price level: No one met us at the entrance. We were just standing stupidly, ignored by all waiters, until we finally entered to catch at least someone. We booked a table, but the waiters tried to put us under the worse available table, under the broken umbrella. It was literally dangerous to sit under it, as the broken metallic stick of umbrella was swinging in the wind. Why didn 't waiters notice that? Why did they want to put us at the worse table, while another table was free? A table was served for 5 (while we booked for 3 , and waiters didn’t even manage to remove the excessive tableware correctly: finally we missed napkins. The waiters didn’t wish to listen for the order till the end. They were trying to run away literally in the middle of our sentences. We had to ask waiters to change dirty plates after the starters (and no, it’s not their “eco friendliness”, since they did change plates after the tiny “amuse bouche”. No one served drinks in time. He had to do it ourselves during the entire meal. Half of the waiters were not smiling, looked angry (and didn’t want to listen . In the past, this restaurant used to serve small desserts with the coffee. Not any more. We had to ask waiters to bring us “some small biscuit”. The big piece of plastic in sorbet… well, here they were really lucky that we took the situation with a laughter. Some other clients (especially those who came with kids!!! would have been right to start a scandal. 3 Atmosphere: No possibility to sit inside, because that day they simply decided that everyone should sit outside; Too many tables per square meter; Please be prepared that your smoking neighbours will be too close to you and your kids, so no way to avoid passive smoking. As a result: big disappointment. Doesn’t worth time money. There are much better restaurants in Geneva"

"I went to L’Auberge d’Hermance with my girlfriend on a lovely sunny day. The restaurant is located in a charming auberge inside the small medieval town of Hermance, next to Lake Geneva. This place mostly does traditional cuisine alongside more modern creations made by the...chef. Their signature dish is the salt crusted chicken, but I didn’t have the chance to taste it since you have to be a minimum of two to order it and my girlfriend wanted something else. Be aware that the cooking time for this dish is 1 hour. The interior is actually really nice with a lot of wooden furniture giving a delightful feeling of a traditional place. It is an auberge after all! There is an inner courtyard in front of the auberge, and I have to say that it is absolutely amazing on a sunny day. A good amount of vegetation and flowers give it a lovable romantic setting. The staff are really welcoming and they always smile! 5 stars service for sure, no mistake from them. As for the food we both ordered the « Menu dégustation » and for sure weren’t disappointed. It consists in: One appetizer. Two starters, first one was an asparagus soup with focaccia, second one was smoked salmon with lemon cream. Both excellent, no comment. A main course, slow cooked lamb shoulder with panisse. I was amazed to see how tender the lamb is! Meat is of exceptional quality! A dessert, iced nougat with red fruits coulis. Tastes good and helps cooling you down a bit on a sunny day. Some people will find this restaurant expensive, but from my point of view, the prices match the quality of the food and of the service. It is a really good restaurant. I highly recommend enjoying your meal in the courtyard on a sunny day to fully experience how romantic and calm this amazing restaurant can be."

"Et oui... quand on va manger chez un chef étoilé, on s’attend toujours à un minimum, au petit plus qui va faire la différence du bon restaurant italien de votre quartier. Malheureusement, la moyenne, à mon avis est tout juste atteinte... Amateur du Flacon (carouge) quand le Chef du Bolero y travaillait, j'ai tout naturellement voulu tenter le Boléro. à Versoix. Restaurant moderne, décoration In, le restaurant est situé près de la gare de Versoix, dans une place bétonnée.Le service est bon et l'ambiance très agréable.Nous avons commandé les Perches façon Fish & Chips, les Ribs, Le Thon et le Plum ibérique. En entrée nous avons pris quelques tapas sous forme de Bruchetta (très bonne). Pour ce qui est des pêrches (en forme de Fish & Chips) elles sont servies avec des frites, mais pas de légume. Je m'attendais à quelque de mieux présenté, ou un goût en plus, mais non, ce sont des FIsh & Chips classique. Les quantités sont également très petites. Pour 34CHF je trouve cela très juste.Les ribs étaient très bonne, qualité de la viande et la sauce parfaite, mais de nouveau la quantité était vraiment moindre, servi avec des frites/pommes de terre, et pas de légume ou autre garniture. (38CHF). Après vérification sur la carte, un mille feuille de légume aurait du être servi.Le Thon snacké à 44CHF était bon, mais sans plus.La pluma à 46CHF était très bonne mais de nouveau pas assez de quantité selon la personne (une femme) qui l'a dégusté.Concernant les déserts, une vitrine de pâtisserie vous est proposée. Mais nous sommes loin des bon desserts de restaurant étoilés (ou du Flacon et son fameux trois chocolats servi alors par l'actuel chef). Les dessert étaient vraiment sans plus.Bref, nous n'avons pas mal mangé, nous avons passé un agréable moment, mais comme cité plus haut, quand on se rend dans un restaurant de ce standing, avec ces prix là, on s’attend à un quelque chose en plus que je n'ai pas trouvé lors de cette soirée. Je retournerai peut-être testé les tapas, mais je ne pense pas y retourner pour manger les plats de la carte."

"We made a reservation for dinner at 8 for two people. As a starter we each ordered a soup with dumplins that was very good, light and noticeable. For the main course, we ate fried prawns with chuchi sauce accompanied by rice and pakchoï. Additionally, we ordered the chicken satai. The sauces are wonderful and the dishes taste very good. The waiting time was not very long, we were able to enjoy our dinner quietly. Service: Dine in"

"We stumbled on this restaurant as we biked through Genthod. It was a sunny day and were able to have a relaxing lunch outside on their patio. The food, service and atmosphere on the patio made for a great meal. Unfortunately we had to get back on our bike and head back to Geneva! While the 34cf for their lunch set menu is more than I would usually chose to pay, it actually was a great value when you consider that the beautiful scallop salad, roast chicken with a wonderful mushroom sauce and peach sorbet for desert all were top notch and generous portions."

"The food was delicious, the service very good, portions were large. It is a bit strange in that it has two sections. We were seated in the back' section which looks like it may have been an old pizzeria, very drab inside and in desperate...need of a makeover. The first section we walked into looked much nicer. I hope we get a table here next time! Overall a very pleasant experience and we will definitely be back. We were there on a date night without the kids but there were many families with very young children and so next time we will return with the kids!"

"Ayant découvert ce restaurant une première fois en 2014 grâce à l'assiette genevoise, j'ai décidé d'y retourner avec ma famille une fois de plus avec l'assiette genevoise. La première fois, j'avais déjà été satisfait des prestations de ce restaurant, mais cette fois-ci c'était vraiment excellent. L'accueil était très chaleureux et le service tout autant. La personne qui nous a servie était très professionnelle, avenante et participait à la superbe soirée que nous étions entrain de passer. Le lieu, très agréable et bien décoré, en accord avec l'intitulé du restaurant, était également chaleureux et sophistiqué.Puis viens le moment de s plats. Appétissant, beau et succulent sont les premiers adjectifs qui me viennent à la bouche. Foie gras poêlé en entrée, pavé de chevreuil sauce grand veneur en plat et oeuf favarger caramel, meringue, glace vanile, le tout avec une présentation digne d'un restaurant gastronomique, voilà de quoi était composé mon menu de ce soir. Délicieux. Bien que nous soyons venus avec l'assiette genevoise, nous avons été servis comme des rois, et avons vraiment passé une super soirée. Les prix pratiqués sont vraiment corrects au vu de la qualité des aliments et de la cuisine. L'un des meilleurs, si ce n'est le meilleur, restaurant de l'assiette genevoise. On y retournera, c'est sur.Notez que le cuisinier ainsi qu'une partie de l'équipe du restaurant a changé, donc n'hésitez vraiment pas à donner une seconde chance à ce restaurant si vous n'avez pas apprécié la fois où vous y êtes allés !"
