"Anyone who has been staying at Wanfrieder Hafen for many years, like us, can make well founded statements about the location, the ambience and the offering and price performance ratio. The location is unique, the guest area is beautifully designed and there are a variety of options for staying. The menu has been basically the same for years, which doesn't have to be a bad thing. Unfortunately, as a regular visitor you can then also assess how portion size and price have developed in relation to each other. The prices have now risen to a level that simply no longer does justice to the portions. The tarte flambées are pitifully sparsely topped, not even the sour cream is all over the place, and the 7 8 thin sausage slices of Ahle Wurst do not justify this price 11.90 . The very thin bratwurst with the very tasty potato pumpkin salad, which in its portion cannot be described as a “filling” side dish, has now gone from 7€ to 9.20 Decoration unimaginatively a quarter of a tomato and half ? lettuce leaf. The reason I won't eat there from now on is that in the bratwurst dishes, where mustard is included, the portion of mustard doesn't even make up a well filled teaspoon. That's SINGLE! Of course there is a risk that some people won't eat all of the mustard, but then you should be able to order more. You can. Also ketchup...because ketchup is not provided with a fries dish, you can order it. My daughter did that. When you check out, the waiter lists all the items again to check the ketchup item is deliberately left out , you are told the total and paid. You have to request a receipt, it is not handed out automatically and when you look at it, you see the ketchup portion a mini mini portion that a child would laugh or cry over at 70!!!!!!! cents charged. People, shame on you. I know what this stuff costs wholesale and you won't take anything else! Even really thirsty cyclists are asked to pay a lot. The waiters actually nice guys have also forgotten a lot... they take the order for drinks, say they'll come back for the food and that's it. Nobody came...after 20 minutes we asked several times to be able to order the food. And there was nothing going on...not the usual summertime hustle and bustle. Yes, you will still never be short of guests, there are few restaurants in the area where you can stop as you drive past, but I'll sit down somewhere along the Werra and have my snack. For my family, it's too much of a disgrace how one can so obviously and shamelessly maximize profits from a brilliant location. If you don't care about the euro and just want to enjoy a wonderful ambience, you're in the right place. A little tip by the way... the wonderful garden cafe in Altenburschla under Dutch management is open again... also wonderful ambience, delicious cakes, hearty snacks and a very FRIENDLY boss ; Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5"
