"Schon der Empfang war ausserordentlich freundlich sowie einladend und der Service den ganzen Abend überzeugend – wir vier Freundinnen fühlten uns sofort willkommen. Hier stimmt einfach alles: Gepflegtes, ansprechendes Lokal. Der kreative Küchenchef Riccardo Tortora und der aufmerksame Servicefachmann Danny sind beide sehr kompetente, sympathische und sehr herzliche Gastgeber. Das kulinarische Angebot, welches auf der kleinen aber feinen Karte aufgeführt war, wurde uns von Riccardo Tortora persönlich erklärt! Nach erfolgter Beratung zauberte er mit seinem Küchenteam ein erstklassiges 5-Gang-Top-Gourmet-Menü und überraschte uns mit ungewohnten, interessanten, einfallsreichen Kombinationen – alles aus frischen und saisonalen Zutaten zubereitet. Das mediterrane Essen war vom herrlich duftenden Brot mit bestem Olivenöl, über das Amuse-Bouche, dem 5-Gang-Menü La Tavola, bis hin zum exquisiten Dessert (vom Dessertkoch persönlich präsentiert) ausgezeichnet und liess keine Wünsche offen. Die Teller waren mit viel Liebe zubereitet, jeder Bissen war geschmacklich und visuell ein Highlight für sich! Die Portionen waren sehr ausgewogen und in einer Leichtigkeit gekocht. Auch die selbstgemachte Pasta und einfach alles – ein Traum! Ebenso waren wir mit der Wein-Empfehlung sehr zufrieden. Hier wird dem Gast auf hohem Niveau zu gutem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis viel geboten.Wir kommen wieder und sind gespannt, was uns beim nächsten Mal erwartet. "As I often do, I just look on the internet on a Sunday to see which restaurant is open and so we drove from Lake Zurich to Winterthur and definitely had another very positive surprise in this restaurant! With another very friendly reservation, we drove there according to the navigation and until now I have never heard, seen or read anything about this restaurant or this area high above Winterthur and for that reason alone we were extremely surprised, even though the weather was bad. When we got there, we were immediately escorted to a beautiful table that was already quite impressive with a white tablecloth and cloth napkins, and when we were allowed to study the menu it was finally proven that there are still restaurants with Stihl and with a selection of what others have Restaurants can only dream! Of course we hadn't already eaten from the selection, but what we got was really of the highest quality, even though there were two souls in the background that were completely full and there wasn't a single table around us available and it was just then possible to bring this quality , was really surprising and extremely satisfactory and more than exemplary! My sincere compliments and we will be going there again soon to eat because here in our area on Lake Zurich I don't know of any restaurant with this quality and this selection. I also grabbed the chef there and told him how great we thought it was because you really should pass on the compliments personally when you experience something so positive"

"Apart from the tiny portions, the food was served with a lot of dedication. Each course has space on a coffee plate. The alarm bells started ringing for me right from the start when the sentence came, in our case we leave the restaurant feeling full but not overcrowded..... Oh dear, I thought. To be honest, when I go out to eat, I don't want to go to the fridge afterwards. However, you can always order a supplement, which saved me from starvation. It's just not my style to curtsy as a supplicant for a little more food. Don't think everyone does this because they're ashamed. In terms of taste, I found all the dishes very tasty, although not amazing. Somehow nouvelle cuisine reinterpreted. Meat and vegetables cooked perfectly, really very fine. In my opinion, the descriptions of the preparation and origin of the dishes at the table are too much and seem a bit artificial. In terms of price, that's a challenge. A bottle of affordable white wine costs around 60 to 100 francs, well. Together with the meal around 300 francs I think it's too much. But just. It was no different in Switzerland in the 80s. We simply pay too much in Switzerland. Still, I think there are few restaurants that celebrate food with such dedication. If the portions were a little larger, I would try it again. But only when I have some money in reserve again. The whole thing took too long and got on my nerves. I want to eat and not talk to the person I'm talking to for hours. We spent almost 3 hours in the restaurant. Deduction for price and quantity otherwise recommended. The concept seems to be working. Is always well booked.
