"We went as a family to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday with family. We had drinks in the bar as well as a meal. We waited ages I mean ages) for service,Pedro the meet greater that showed us to our room was short, non descriptive and unhelpful. The meals we ordered all had to be changed due to a booking of 50 in a function room Cheltenham race week) So we all had to order what was left! All we can say is sack the chef s) Food was ALL SALTY?? Like really salty and inedible, no one retook drinks orders , ice cream was stingy and 1 scoop not enough for an adult paying £6) Rooms were the noisiest due to people upstairs walking around at all hours 3-6am!! We couldn’t sleep and were exhausted the next day. The whole place was clean, staff were bored and non responsive. Breakfast we waited over 40 mins to eat! No toast offered and when it came half way through was burnt!! In the end we just laughed as it was that bad. We will not return which is a shame as it took the sparkle out of my Dads special celebration. This place needs a shake up with staff. Room was clean"

"We went to the pub after making a reservation for 9 people to celebrate our friend's birthday, and we brought our dog along since we were away from home. The pub was dog-friendly, which was fantastic! However, when we arrived, we were seated at our table but were informed that dogs were not allowed in the restaurant area of the pub. We were given the option to sit at the bar, away from our group of 7 friends. Feeling awkward, we found our own table separated by a wall from our friends and were given menus. The waitress apologized for the inconvenience, but there was no solution offered for us to all sit together. Due to this, we made the decision to leave. If we had been presented with a more appealing alternative, we may have chosen to stay. It wasn't clear to us that dogs were not allowed in the restaurant area, but had we known beforehand, we would have requested a dog-friendly area."

"I am like the superfan of my local chippy in newlands. on Monday, the doors are open and business after the very, very, long Kovid restrictions. it was nice to see people back in the load. personally, I will hold to the pre-order slot and pick up from the window. Slick operation, efficient and punctual and works well for me. I could add that the owners regularly still support the community cupboard and meal times for the homeless in worcester regularly (as yesterday evening."

"I stayed in Evesham for a few days and decided to stop by this restaurant with my dog while out for a walk. The staff were friendly and the locals were welcoming and talkative. The small fountain in the beer garden was relaxing. My dog was hungry and doesn't eat dog food, so the chef kindly brought him some fresh chicken. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. I will definitely be returning, as I really enjoyed my experience."

"This traditional old pub is located a bit away from the town center, but it is definitely worth finding. They offer a good selection of Hook Norton ales and serve excellent, reasonably priced home-cooked meals that seem to be made fresh. This is a rarity compared to chain pubs nowadays. We tried the pie and chips for £7.50, and it was full of meat and had some of the best chips we have ever had at a pub. The young staff provided excellent and genuine service as well. We highly recommend this place if you are in town."

"Love the spaciousness and seating options indoors and out. They managed to make casual into a classic meeting place that could easily become a favorite for families, business meetings and passers through. My Eggs Royale were good and I appreciated that they were flexible on letting me tweak things to my liking: putting the Hollandaise on the side, letting me switch out the English muffin for granary slices. The poached eggs were timed to treacly yolk perfection. A bit stingy on the smoked salmon and no fresh squeezed juices on the (breakfast/brunch) menu. My oat milk flat white lacked the pretty flair of barista art flourish so common place today, but was satisfactory enough. If I had been seated where I wanted, up front by the window rather than told there was a staff meeting going on, I may have leaned into a conservative four stars here. I then asked to be seated away from other guests and ended in the back room which looked to be a well positioned, discreet spot for staff chats and meetings. Customers first, right? And, Back room business should, after all, be kept in its rightful place."

"love the robin hood, eating and service is always excellent. on Friday (5th mai) again visited the service was great, staff are always friendly, I had the cured meat pizza that was really good and it was huge! also love the fizz Friday deal. definitiw mine go to the pub for a beautiful not expensive meal! also visited the last two christmas' for Christmas dinner, which was always beautiful and a great festive atmosphere!"

"we visited in May 2021. it was so difficult to get to a table and had to remain silent and very busy. the personal was helpful and the service was good. we had the cauliflower wedge and the food dish. the cauliflower wedge was particularly good and has completely transformed us into the cauliflower. a good option in this neck of the forest where there are not many vegan friendly places"

"We stopped here overnight while travelling south, booking a ground floor room with breakfast as well as an eveningmeal. The room was adequate but dark with a toilet that ran all night. The evening meal, main course, arrived warm and although we were offered to have it replated, we just wanted to get through the meal and get to bed,we had had a long day. The meal should not have been sent out of the kitchen just warm and not hot. The breakfast was excellent! Would we return? No."

"Visited with my husband last night for dinner. As soon as we went through the door I detected a funny smell. Don’t know what it was, but it wasn’t inviting or welcoming. The inside is very old fashioned without being ‘trendy’ or quirky. The wood...chip on the walls had seen better days, as had the array of ornamental glass bottles on the shelves next to our table. Also on the shelf was a radio playing radio 2. I am a radio 2 fan, but not at 7.30 in the evening while having dinner not good for the ambience! I ordered fisherman’s pie which was semi ok, but was clearly microwaved as it arrived within 15 minutes. The accompanying new potatoes were also microwaved, given the 15 minute window and the fact the skins were wrinkly. My husband ordered faggots. He ate less than half of one as they didn’t appear cooked in the middle. The accompanying mash potato was watery, lumpy and tasteless. No complaints about the staff, they were all efficient and friendly. This is clearly a locals pub, given the sign on the table ‘locals table.’ Don’t be fooled by the beautiful exterior. There are plenty of other beautiful places in Broadway that serve equally beautiful food."

"yesterday for the third time. had a homemade burger for the first time, cup tee the second and eier benedict yesterday. the burger, in a homemade Brioche beer, was moist and tasty. the eierbetedict was the most tasty and best I ever had and I tried some in different cafes/restaurants. the eggs were picked up to yogurt, the sink was really good and the taste came through. the hollandaise was smooth, creamy and very tasty. I can't wait to go back."

"I ordered breakfast from the Deliveroo app, which also had the same menu on Just Eat. After waiting 25 minutes, I received a voicemail saying that they no longer offer this item and did not provide any alternative options. I had to inquire about their current menu offerings, as there was a wide range listed on the app. They informed me that I needed to contact Deliveroo to cancel the order, even though they had already accepted it and the app stated that the order was being prepared. When I tried to contact Deliveroo, I was redirected back to the restaurant. The staff was unhelpful and rude over the phone, making me feel like it was my fault. I am still waiting for a refund."

"As it was our anniversary, we decided that for our meal out we’d just do the local pub grub rather than one of the other more dedicated restaurants locally. Huge mistake! Firstly, they did not have Port and the young lady behind the bar had never heard of it. These things happen and we ordered other drinks. We ordered the buttermilk chicken starters, one with the standard bbq sauce but the other with salsa on the side. They both turned up with salsa on the side. Oh well, we just got on with it. My husband then ordered the mixed grill with the steak to be cooked medium rare and I ordered the rump steak to be cooked just medium and no mushrooms. After an extremely long wait the food finally arrived, totally unseasoned, completely overcooked with peas that looked like they were left over from yesterday. My steak was inedible, I tried various different parts in an effort to find a piece that wasn’t well done, burnt or full of gristle but was unsuccessful. My husband’s steak was also well done and gristly but he tried to eat the edible portions of the other meal components but these were few and far between. For the first time ever, we walked out and left the meals there. I spoke to one of the staff as we left, informing her of the inedible food and she asked if we would like it re-done. Having experienced the previous effort, we declined and left. We will not be returning nor recommending to friends and neighbours."

"we have booked this pub when we were on board the chic feeds we were served around broadway, don't get me wrong, eating in the chic restaurants are nice, but they feel like they still need a kebab at the end of the night. to fill them. the pub was initially calm, but a few local sat at the bar and drank and a good craic. the bardame was nice and explains our order etc. I had a pint of the local real ale and was nice 10/10. order was simply pate for appetizers and steak and guinness cake for pornstars a word “axis” the woman had again a burger. we were offered pudding or for them posh menschen ,deserts but we were that stuffed, we could eat all other defo a recommended pub tee or dinner"

"This place used to be so much better. It's lost its buzz. New rules food no longer served in the bar after 6pm (why? , combined with the fact the lighting is too bright (bright spotlights all over the bar not dimmed at night , no log fire burning any more, means that the bar has emptied and become sterile. That feel has spread to the whole hotel. The food used to be so much better before James Martin took over. It had interesting healthy options, gone. Local produce and game, also gone. All the imagination replaced by steak and chips, lamb shank, fish and chips. A glorified pub with all the character stripped out. Remarkable that you can do that to a characterful building with so much history in so short a time. Almost an achievement to marvel at. Add to that the near 400 per cent mark up on some wines...which I can stomach in a Michelin star restaurant, but not when I'm being served glorified pub food in a sterile environment whilst being told where I can and can't eat. The only redeeming feature is the staff, who are all excellent and friendly. But with fewer customers to serve in the bar at night, I'm sure they are kicking their heels and wondering what went wrong. We won't be going back in a hurry, and we have stayed there on numerous occasions previously."

"We have been for the relaxed buffet style dinner which we really enjoyed. Lots of options and got to try lots of new things. Also, we bought our Christmas dinner from here to reheat on Christmas Day whilst we were on holiday. It was perfect! Felice and Fi are so helpful, their customer service is brilliant."

"since the maternity leave for the last 3 weeks, still waiting for baby to arrive, have visited me and my aunt several times for lunch! the carvery is the best and today went and had the burger and the fish and chips from the monday menu and oh my gott! it was delicious, and soouo also cheap. completely recommend this pub, personal are also beautiful, excellently guided family pub!"

"We were introduced to the Thai legend, last year sometime. Since then, we have been several times, and we’ve had an excellent meal and great service every time. We celebrated my birthday here with family, back in August. The staff decorated our table, made me a cake, sang happy birthday and made a fuss of me, which was really special and so lovely of them. We have been a couple of times since then, most recently with friends, and again, the food was top class. It has definitely become, one of our favourite restaurants, and we always recommend it to anyone wanting a good Thai meal. What’s even nicer, is the staff now recognise us as (almost! regulars"
