"Went here on our second night in Zell am See. Really nicely laid out tables, plenty of soace amd a really nice feeling about the place.We bother ordered the steak, 200g. When it came out, it looked more like it was 200g COOKED. It was a monster piece of steak, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. We had great service and would 100% recommend people staying in Zell am See eat here at least once."

"Wir waren als Gruppe vom VRG Wörgl ca. 22 Leute zu einer Gruppenmeisterschaft in Rauris mit unseren Töchtern und suchten vor Antritt der Heimreise nach Tirol ein Location, wo man auch nach 14:00 noch leckere Spezialitäten bekommt. Über Google hat meine Frau dann das Restaurant Kupferkessel gefunden und gleich dort angerufen um zu fragen, ob es spontan möglich wäre Plätze für soviel Personen zu reservieren. RENÉ ein sehr freundlicher und überaus zuvorkommender, lustiger Kellner sagte gleich, das dies kein Problem sei. Als wir ankamen Empfang er uns sehr herzlich. Nahm sich die Zeit.....Wünsche und Bedürfnisse entgegen zu nehmen. Eine riesen Auswahl der Speisekarte und das Design lädt zum schmunzeln ein! So jemanden wie ihn findet man heutzutage nur mehr sehr, sehr selten. Ein gesamtes Lob an den Chef mit seinem Team. Das Essen war der Hammer und es überraschte uns auch die Schnelligkeit was die Zubereitung betrifft und alle bekamen gleichzeitig das Essen. Das Flair des Restaurant war genial. "Wie waren bisher zwei Mal dort. Die Bedienungen waren alle sehr freundlich und das Essen war gut. Wir haben Burger, Pizza und Salat gegessen. Auch Vegetarier und Veganer werden hier fündig. Die Einrichtung ist interessant und abwechslungsreich, aber im vorderen Raum sehr überfüllt. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es, weil mein gespritzter Mangosaft zwei Mal nicht bis zur 0,5l-Markierung gefüllt war, sondern einen cm weiter unten und weil die Preise schon im oberen Segement liegen, wenn man für eine Pizza Funghi fast 10 Euro bezahlt."

"We had been recommended to visit the Seewirt by our hotel’s concierge, and based on the recommendation had high expectations. The setting and our table were were definitely fine. The ‘greeting from the kitchen’ was also tasty. We then had to ask to see a...wine menu, and when asking for a recommendation of a wine, we’re offered ‘a nice neutral red’. After some deliberation we chose a KRUG Die Versuchung red at EUR The starter was a carpaccio of local beef. It seemed tender, but rather than being the star of the plate it was covered in a thick layer of Parmesan, doused in a mix of pesto and roasted tomato dressing and further overpowered by a dressed green salad. All ingredients were great, but the carpaccio might as well not have been there, as at best it offered texture; the flavour had been drowned. The wine arrived in time for the main course. The main course was a cutlet of Hungarian wool pork, with a selection of side dishes. Nice presentation and tasty vegetables. Unfortunately, the pork had been cooked in such a fashion, that it had gone dry. A real shame. We did like the wine though, but afterwards finding the mark-up to be in excess of one can’t but feel robbed. I have read other reviews and clearly, the place often seems to hit the mark. Unfortunately, in ours, it was a miss."

"Mit Freunden habe ich Kaprun besucht und bin dabei auf das Kitsch und Bitter gestoßen. Wir haben zuerst sehr gut zu Abend gegessen und haben dann bei einigen tollen Drinks weitergefeiert. Es wurde eine lange Nacht. Wir waren alle von dem erstklassigen Service begeistert. Die jungen Ober verstehen ihr Handwerk. Wir kommen gerne wieder. "4 stars for the kitchen. The food is excellent as well as the Ambiente of the restaurant. The service is unfortunately not on the same level as the kitchen. When we ordered dishes to share for 4 people we ordered 3 Appetizers and only one main dish. The way the waiter looked at us was how stingy can you be, never a thought that guests might not be able to actually eat such large portions. Again I can only compliment the chef. Food is excellent. And then when we left the restaurant we wanted to take a picture of the beautiful decoration. As I put my jacket over the hand rail and it barely touched the Christmas tree the bar man was just short of scolding me that I dare touch his Christmas tree. We did not take a picture of the decoration and the evening ended on a sour note the way the service staff treated us. Once again I can only recommend the restaurant for the food and please close two eyes on some of the service staff."

"Ambiente: Grundsätzlich macht das Lokal einen guten Gesamteindruck. Die meisten Tische sind für vier Personen gedeckt wobei es da schon mal eng werden kann, trotzdem sehr angenehm zum Sitzen. Es gibt kleinere Auffälligkeiten wie z.B. Spinnennetze an den Wänden, freiliegende Steckdosen und ein Loch in einer Diele des Bodens. Bedienung und Service: Der Service ist durchschnittlich und nicht überaus freundlich. Leider muss man für ein zweites Getränk Eigeninitiative zeigen und nachfragen ob man noch etwas zum Trinken haben kann. Essen: Die Pizzen hatten eine ordentliche Größe und konnten vom Geschmack durchaus überzeugen. Auch die Nachspeisen waren schön angerichtet und sehr schmackhaft."

"The best hotel we have ever stayed in. The owners a couple where very friendly and kind. The view is spectacular and the fresh air and water in the alps is amazing. Please note this is NOT a regular hotel with “burger and pizza”. It is an authentic experience with only access through the lift. You are being part of a family with the owner-couple and other guests. The lift closes at 5pm with is a good thing, so you have privacy. Use the evenings hiking and eating in the restaurant. The husband cooks high quality dinner for the hotel guests every night. (Traditional food) The food where also excellent for vegetarians. Please eat at the restaurant every night. It is a part of the experience. The prices are totally fair and food is good! Again this hotel is more an experience than “just a hotel”. It is a paradise for hikers and couples who want relaxation and a getaway from the daily routines. Book directly from their website. It is easiest. Will definitely come again! "So we went there 2 years ago, had a wonderfull experience, loved it. We told our friends who joined us this year for the holiday that this was so good so we had to go there our first day. Well this was very disapointing, We...did not make a reservation but we were the first ones in the restaurant around 18h, the waitress gave us our table and said we had 2 hours before someone else needed it. Okay we didnt need 2 hours to eat so we went and ordered. Everything was really fast at the table but that was okay because we were hungry but the waitress went to pick up our plates when we weren’t even finished and that was so rude.. i think we were eating for 15min and one person was ready, they came in grabbed his plate .. looked at the other one and he had to say he was still eating ?! Then the next person was ready and the same thing. I was the last one eating and i felt very uncomfortable because they were walking around the table just the see when i was done. It felt like they wanted to get us out for the table but the restaurant wasnt even full?! Mind you the waitress said we had 2 hours and we came in at 18h and left at 19h?! Can you please give the customers just a bit of room to enjoy they’re evening please? Instead of rushing it."

"We loved the philosophy of the place: local, sustainable food from neighbouring farmers (also the list of suppliers are available! . The restaurant has a beautiful, natural and romantic atmosphere. The food is also very delicious, three since then full vegan options. My meal was so good with brown sauce and Seitan, it felt like a meat course in ancient times. Vegetable spreads are also delious and Kaisersmarren is light, amazing with three jams and fruits in it! If you are vegetarian, it is worth waiting (20 minutes to prepare!"

"Without knowing what to expect. What a great place! The exterior is somehow anonymous, a block from the main pedestrian zone. Inside it is a super beautiful place. But the main attraction is the burgers. Wow! We spent a week in Zell...at See Skiing, and ended their three days in a row after we tried with luck. The sweet potato fries were also great. A small negative: One of their two specials is a burger that comes with the cheese-covered bungalow. It looked amazing when we got it, but believe it or not: it is possible to serve a burger with too much cheese.."

"We went there once on a Saturday and had great pizza, the restaurant was full and the atmosphere was lovely. But then we went again on a Wednesday, we were basically the only people there and they served us incredibly greasy food, probably frozen leftovers for the money it was ridiculous. "this must be the worst buffet restaurant in the whole spa world! eating is extremely bad, up to the point that I visited this restaurant, hoping to have a better impression every day for a whole week, as we are baptizing. spa all day to late, and the 3 suppen that I found on the first day were still on the last day of my week and please note that I did not over them the same type of suppe every day, but actually the same dish of the same suppe for the week, not even disturbing, as the suppe level went down to change the container to not the dirty lines of the plane of suppak that was reached daily. the rest of the food was quite in tune with this....stale salat and pottery and kartoffeln with funny looking liquids above. the employees look like they want to be somewhere else and the prices are expencive, especially for drinks."

"Aus einem späten spontanen vorbeilaufen, ohne zu hoffen, dass es noch ein Platz gibt, wurden wir schon wir alte Bekannte winkend von innen an der Tür begrüßt und es wurde ein Tisch hergezaubert. Freundlichkeit ist hier der oberste Tagespunkt. Und das (siehe Beschreibung) wohl jeden Tag! Und nur so läuft Gastronomie! Zum Essen fehlen mir die Worte. Hier wurde gezaubert vom Anfang bis zum Ende. Überragende Kombinationen mit ultra leckeren Zutaten. Das Thunfisch Tatar! (Etwas zu salzig) aber grandios. Die Zitronen Butter ist sowas von gut. Der Ziegenkäse mit Honig und Walnüssen Soulfood Tageskarte : Seeteufel Filetstücke auf Brokkoli, wie jemand schon schrieb , Sternewürdig. Am Ende noch ein Kaiserschmarrn und wir platzten vor Glück und Zufriedenheit. Das dieses Restaurant in solch einem Ort verhältnismäßig wenig Bewertung hat ist verwunderlich und deswegen muss ich drüber berichten. Die Einrichtung ist schön, warm und es gibt lustige Sprüche an der Wand. Viele um das Thema Alkohol "

"We stayed at the Schloss Prielau and wanted to take this opportunity to have dinner at the Restaurant Mayer with its two Michelin stars. And we were not disappointed! To the contrary, it was an amazing culinary experience (see pictures). We went for a light ...dinner with only three courses (rather than the maximum of 10). We could select from about a dozen dishes in whatever order we wanted. But you get a lot more than just the courses you order: greetings from the kitchen, sorbet in-between, great sweets at the end. All dishes are not only incredibly tasty, but they are also a piece of art every time. The lamb was fantastic as was the lemon grass soup. We decided to go with the wine selection of the chef as we had so different dishes that none would have been a perfect match to all dishes. And they served great wine, exactly what made the dish even more pleasant. Even though the portions looked rather small, we ate exactly enough without feeling full. On top, we had very charming staff who served the food with great care and passion. Fantastic culinary experience I would not want to have missed."
