"Terrible, Unfriendly service. bad quality food, they only take cash as They don’t accept credit cards and 5/10 times their Card reader doesn’t work. I ordered by phone. When I arrived they said their Card Reader doesn’t work (again) and I need to get cash from an atm. When this time I complained that they should have told me so on the phone upfront they basically threw me out and told me to never come back again."

"Full traces of Pho Na, we were very grateful for the friendly service and tasty dishes we were visiting in this little Vietnamese restaurant near Hotel Montana where we were. On the rainy evening of our visit the restaurant was nearby (too wet to sit outside), it seemed to be full of local/loyaler customers, the staff made us very welcome and quickly found us a table. Staff were entertaining as they interacted with customers, a cheerful atmosphere."

"A good pasta restaurant but also other Italian recipes, for example the pinsa. The service was good and quite fast on lunch although unfortunately I was not 100% convinced by the food due to a small problem. I ordered one of the options on the lunch menu, tagliatelle with veal rib sauce. The pasta was good and cooked well, the sauce was also tasty but unfortunately inside the sauce there were pieces of bone and also the pleura (or skin) of the ribs, I didn't like finding it on the plate. To make the dish better they should have removed these parts from the sauce. The restaurant is located a few steps from the polybahn, at the beginning of Niederdorf, a perfect location for visiting the streets of this beautiful historic neighborhood. Inside the place has a pleasant atmosphere."

"We were visiting Zurich for the new years weekend from London and were excited to dine here on a Friday (at 5:45pm, without reservation). We were offered a table for two in the middle of the restaurant on the second floor. We requested if the table could be moved near the windows; but were told unfortunately that they had reservations for the duration of our dinner. We noted that there quite a few tables near the windows still open throughout our dinner and until we left (around 7pm). We ordered a mushroom stroganoff and a potato rosti with grilled vegetables. The rosti was fantastic, so were the choices of cocktails (especially Italian 75). The mushroom stroganoff had too much rice and was overly salty. The waiter was kind enough to remove the charge on one of our drinks due to the disappointing dish. Overall, the restaurant has a fantastic choice of vegetarian food. We probably won’t come back due to the service and the quality of food, compared to the price."

"It was our second visit in 3 years. Second time we were reminded why we do not come back for years although we live in the neighborhood. The brunch was just awful, to say the least, and shamelessly overpriced. Everything tasted like it was reheated from cans or from frozen cheapest supermarket fare. Full English was appalling combination of canned beans, under cooked sausage, 3 canned mushrooms and one egg that cost over 30 chf. The bagel with egg was swimming in reflux inducing amount of cold mayonnaise, and fries were burnt little stubs of something that most probably came in a plastic packet from a budget store. Even the beer on the tap tasted like it was hugely diluted by tap water, the same with ice tea both tasted like rancid water but were charged at an extortionate rate. The host was annoying customers with endless cheeky chappy chirpy banter, that was obviously meant to distract from the appalling quality of food. AVOID by all means!"

"Naturally gluten free. Beautifully friendly place to eat, especially important as a solo traveller. The food was wholesome and soul filling. The cheese was perfectly melted and fantastically creamy. Loved the mash was skin on, and tasted fresh. The whole place has a lovely homemade feel to it, which I didn’t expect at all. Sausages were delicious and slightly smoked. Left feeling full in stomach and soul. Big thank you to the team at Raclette Factory."

"Iceberg salad with pieces of sweetcorn is now an Italian dish? Interesting! Tiramisu tasted like something from Migros. The pizza, just stick to the pizza, still very tasty, but these are not as full as they...less cheese, smaller? I'm not sure, but that's not my number one pizza in Zurich anymore. Service ok, staff friendly."

"Wir waren zum Essen im Doktorhaus. Das Doktorhaus geniesst einen ausgezeichneten Ruf. Wir wollten dies in der Praxis einmal testen. Das Wetter liess es zu, dass wir im schönen Biergarten essen konnten. Zum Glück den die Fliessen im Restaurant drinnen sind wohl schon eher etwas für ein Museum. Zum Glück wird nun restauriert. Der Service ist sehr gut. Sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Auch wenn das nicht so schwierig ist, wenn inkl. uns ca. 6 Gäste anwesend sind. Das Essen war dann doch eher eine Enttäuschung wenn man das Preis /Leistungsverhältnis in Betracht zieht. Essen zudem sehr salzig. Der eine liebt das, der andere weniger. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass das Doktorhaus EINEN Besuch wert ist. Kann mir aber kaum vorstellen, dass ich innerhalb der nächsten paar Jahre wieder einen Besuch abstatten werde so toll ist es leider nicht."

"I've visited this place with my friends. We had a daily menu which was great value for the price. The food was delicious and service great. Everybody were nice and friendly and Susanne really went above and beyond for us to have a great time there. The place is charming and authentic, has some spirit of history touch. Definitely one of the highlights of our day in Zurich and I highly recommend to include this restaurant on your day in Zurich!"

"I really like this place, the food is spot on, always well done and a good selection. Lunch menu works nicely and the dinner menu is more extensive and has a nice blend of hearty Italian but also classic Italian stuff and some interesting new dishes. Recommended. It also doesnt die off at 9pm which is an unfortunate feature of a lot of restaurants in Zurich. 18th March 2022 update: its still really good! 21st October 2022: Came here for lunch with my wife and the service was fantastic and the food was great as always, recommend the Manzo Filletti and the Tignanello."

"Take Out bestellt, dieselben Menus wie immer. Schon öfters ist die sehr variable Qualität aufgefallen mal ist es sehr lecker, mal scheinen andere Köche am werk zu sein. Diesmal war es sehr schlecht. das Laab glich einer wässrigen Suppe und essentielle Ingredienzen fehlten. das curry hatte kein Gemüse drin. als wir anriefen meldete sich zuerst eine Dame, dann der Koch, der lediglich meinte: das stimme nicht, er habe es selbst zubereitet. Keine Einsicht gar nix. Das ist sehr schade, zumal wir langjährige treue Kunden sind, die öfters schon mal über qualitative Unterschiede hinweg geschaut haben"

"This was hands down by far the best meal we had during our time in Zurich. We spent the weekend with friends and locals and came for dinner here on Saturday night. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and the staff and felt looked...after from the very first second. The menu is seasonal and filled with local produce which speaks for its quality and freshness. Amongst the 7 of us we indulged in fabulous beef tartar (which was incredible and way better than the one we had the night before at Loft 5), tender wild boar, the mussels, the vegetarian risotto and vegan butternut squash. Being out with a mix of carnivores and vegans can be tricky these days but this restaurant truly caters well to both tastes and maintains the same quality and care in each and every dish they bring to the table. Everything is prepared fresh and with an eye for detail. With the owner being a sommelier himself we left the wine selection to him which turned out to be the perfect pairing for our meal. We finished off with a true swiss classic chestnut Vermicelle and also tried an amazing unalcoholic Seedlip Gin Tonic. Wirtschaft zur Au still manages to maintain incredible value for money with its portions not only delicious but also very generous. It is a restaurant which is perfect for a dinner with good friends, a romantic date or a business lunch as the beautiful interior and atmosphere invites for great conversation. Needless to say that we will be back on our next trip and cannot wait to see what will be on the menu!"

"I entered to the restaurant last week , the big guy , the waiter just look at me unfriendly and stand there , he told me that I was busy to deliver food to different table now and ask me to wait . he was really impolite at that time , at least he should offer me to seat in a table first . I saw there is some empty table and no other client was waiting at that time . I felt that he didn’t want to serve me because I just one person for dinner . I dress very casual, t shirt and short jean. I think the waiter , the big guy really don’t Respect tourist . This is the bad dinner experience I never had in Europe !"

"Where do I even start? I am traveling solo through the country and I like to splurge on a nice dinner towards the end of my journey which happens to be Zurich. Read some nice reviews and decided to try this place out. I walked in behind an older couple (maybe 65-70 years old) and they were quickly sat by a male server without asking for a reservation name or checking the tablet for a name. When the sever returned to the front I asked for a table of one and he point to who I assume is Mr. Paulo Alexandre. Mr. Alexandre told me they were fully booked and I cannot dine in unless I have a reservation but I can sit outside at one of the empty tables if I like. So I chose to do that. However the older couple in front of me had no issues getting a table by the server. Now the food was amazing but the service was less then stellar. I don't know why the server (I don't know her name, but she was Italian) treated me so poorly, maybe because I look young and dining alone, so she assumed I can't afford it? I guarantee you I can afford a nice dinner when I want. I asked for a wine list, I never received. I was never informed of the specials, but the table next to me were told the specials. I was only offered one piece of bread while the table next to me were offered more. Whatever the reason was, she shouldn't judge a guest by what they look like (or dressed like) or if they are dining alone. After paying $117 USD (99 Francs) for my one meal and one dessert, I still tipped 15 Francs. As someone who has been in the hospitality industry for 20+ years, I always leave a tip, even if I was treated poorly or like a child. Unfortunately, the amazing food was overshadowed by the terrible service which created an unfavorable atmosphere. Let this be a warning to those who travel/dine solo, that you may not receive the same service as others."

"I am not vegetarian and enjoyed this place. The food was diverse and chouce plentiful. It was easy to discover what you wanted easy to pay, great to ensure there is no wasye as you oay for the weight of your food. The decision around your beverage was easy as it was done after you choose your meal so you can easily pair the wine with the meal choice. The staff were great, pleasant, and attentive to the customers. I saw one helping an older couple with their plates from their seats. It was above and beyond and just showed the fabulous service they give. The area was clean the tables basic but there were plenty of seats to choose where to sit. I enjoyed this. The food was great, I didn't really have a full choice for the sweets (desserts) but apart from that I couldn't fault it. It was good."

"Be ready, if you order 2 mins after 11.00, you will not be able to have a breakfast anymore. Basically, you cannot order food from 11 to 11.30. Which is okay, but I would expect you are told so when you enter cafe at 10.57 and either suggested to make an order fast or you at least staff is being nice and suggests you a coffee of cake while waiting."

"We visited Don Leone on a midweek evening with a large group of colleagues. Despite the rainy weather forcing us inside, the restaurant wasn't too crowded that night. The decor is straightforward and unpretentious, allowing the food to be the star. And on that front, Don Leone largely delivered. We overindulged on a variety of dishes, all presented well and of generally good quality. The only misstep were some overcooked steaks, so be sure to specify your desired doneness. What truly shone, however, was the impeccable service. Our large party was tended to attentively from start to finish. Coupled with a reasonable 50 CHF per person cost including plenty of wine, it made for a very satisfying group dining experience overall. While Don Leone may not wow with fancy decor, it seems to prioritize executing reliable Italian staples backed by hospitality that caters equally well to both large parties and intimate dates. A solid option when craving well-prepared classics in a comfortable, unfussy setting."

"Sehr netter Empfang, wunderschöne Aussicht, überall Kunst zum Bestaunen, toller Zimmerservice, aber entgegen der uns gegebenen Info, konnten wir das Licht über das IPad nicht dimmen, auch der Hauptschalter gilt nicht für alle Lichtquellen. Radio kann man nur im Bad empfangen, aber man hat die Möglichkeit ein Bluetooth Speaker auszuleihen. Das Essen ist sehr schön angerichtet und man kann zwischen regionaler und fancy Küche variieren, aber auch hier war der Champagnerrisotto zu stark gewürzt, hingegen der Oktopus zu wenig. Das Hotel bietet einen Shuttelservice an, den man am besten frühzeitig aufsucht, denn trotz meiner Pünktlichkeit war der Fahrer auf einmal weg. Das Spa lässt nichts zu Wünschen übrig, auch hier hat man eine wunderschöne Kulisse von Zürich, einen Aussenwhirlpool mit Blick auf den Zürisee, eine finnische Sauna, ein Dampfbad, ein Solarium und man kann unterschiedliche Wellnessanwendungen buchen, aber auch hier sollte man am besten schon reservieren."

"We were a group of 10 colleagues who had been for dinner. It was a ad-hoc decision so didn’t book a table as such, but we were lucky to get table for 10. The staff is very friendly and does explain in detail any questions you have about the food. The service is quick. I had Ginger chicken with rice and Passion fruit cheese cake for desert. Both the dishes were really good Overall a great experience"
