"Had the “menu degustazione”, senza dolce. Interesting mix and conception, beautiful presentation, and a fantastic wine pairing with some of the offerings of the house. No fault there, a very memorable experience. Yet, the service seemed a bit rushed, for no apparent reason (the taverna is only open for lunch). I had to intervene to avoid the bread, oil and balsamico being taken away before I was done with my meal, and the waitress was particularly interested in establishing how soon she could bring my coffee (and the bill). Maybe some additional orientation in table service would be advisable. Otherwise, having a meal at this environment remains one if the highlights of a visit to the Montalcino area!"
