"We ate here three times during our week-long stay in Tropea and it was excellent every time. The restaurant stands out pleasantly from the many rather middle-class restaurants in Tropea. The menu is manageable, the atmosphere is nice, and the service is very attentive. The appetizer platter for two people is recommended, it is very rich and can easily be ordered for four people. The tuna with caramelized onions or the ravioli with nduja and pecorino or the seafood risotto are also very good. Wine list with moderate prices. We felt very comfortable here and will definitely come back."

"My parents came to Sorrento 45 years ago for their anniversary. They told me that when they were in Sorrento they had ice cream in the shape of spaghetti. When I came here I did a Google search and found this place. Decided to order it for fun and it was very good. Told the owner of the shop, who said that my parents must have eaten at her grandfather’s shop, as it is the only one doing a dish like this in Sorrento. So do try the spaghetti ice cream. It’s a classic."

"Terrible experience, will not be returning. Thought this might have been an isolated event but have read previous reviews and can see that this is symptomatic of the owner’s attitude. Requested the bill and asked where there was a bin so I could deposit a plastic bag which included 2 empty bottles of water plus the empty drink cans purchased in the cafe, as I had thought that it was nice to clear the table. The lovely young waiter replied that he would despose of it no problem and we proceeded to the till to pay the bill and to use the facilities. The owner had an unpleasant attitude and I regret leaving a 15% tip as when we left the owner shouted at the waiter who had obviously been told to return the rubbish to us and we were directed to a public bin. This was highly embarrassing and unnecessary. This has left such a sour taste as this cafe held lovely memories from our previous holiday. I wish I had thought faster and taken the cans purchased in the cafe from the bag and put them back on the table and retrieved the tip that I had left. What a ridiculous way to treat paying customers over 2 small empty plastic bottles, very mean spirited."

"The Casina Valadier is so called because the great Roman architect Giuseppe Valadier (1762 – 1839) who designed the Pincio, designed and built it. It is a neoclassical style adaptation of a pre-existing 16th century building, construction which began between 1816 and ended in 1837. The three-storey building has a predominantly cubic shape, with the embellishment of an exedra with columns and capitals and pilasters on the building that make it soar. Over time it was subject to many interventions, including by the famous architect Marcello Piacentini in 1919. After various vicissitudes, which also saw it relegated to the modest home of the park keeper and also linked to the events of the Second World War, it has now become a splendid location, with a panoramic restaurant and bar. "As a loyal customer, I have been coming to this restaurant with my family since I was a teenager, I can say that it is no longer the same. The quantity of food was significantly reduced, I would like to point out that there were 4 of us. The appetizer was 4 small plates, from which we fought to eat, the raw fish was a handful of pupils and 6 oysters, 3 of which were not good (but happen, I think) But the first courses are two small tastings, we are really talking about 3 tablespoons of marinara rice per person for example, as a second course a fried dish and a mixed roast dish with 1 prawn each and 2 slices of swordfish, ok drinks included in the price, but very, very far from Pierino the Englishman of the past! I don 't make it an economic issue, but if I want a second pasta which was very little for 4 and the waiter replies it 's not possible, the kitchen is closed , the second one had yet to arrive... I will hardly return to this restaurant."

"When we manage to escape from work, my partner and I treat ourselves to lunch here, in this splendid and very simple restaurant on the beach. Quick serving time, it 's true we had just deserts, that might be an influencing factor. All deserts come with fiori di latte Ice Cream, i read this on the menu but i didn 't expect to have it in my tiramisu, but let me tell you it was a great tasty surprize. Tiramisu was so good, with good coffe and really soft cream, combined with the cold ice cream, uh it was so fresh. The pear pie was tasty too, crunchy crust with perfectly baked pears. You have to see the terrace, te view is amazing, I attached a photo, it 's just amazing. One last hint, pleas WALK to this place, you won 't regret it, it 's like a 20 min walk , but everything will be better after this mini hike. "I took my wife out to an anniversary dinner here while in Venice and it was fantastic. Or female server, I can’t recall her name, was super knowledgeable about the cuisine and helped us every step of the way when we had questions. The food was great and the scallops are to die for. My wife is not usually a fan of pumpkin in the food but with the skill of the chefs they definitely made her surprised and she enjoyed all the dishes. It is pricey with the tasting menu and with an added bottle of wine and put our bill right at 450 euros. However this is not a fine and dash place. It is more of an enjoy the moment and have casual conversations and lasted us around 2 1/2 hours. Would recommend this place to anyone!
