"On arrival at the Enterprise Hotel, we asked the helpful staff Marco) to recommend a place for a quick lunch. He suggested we could get kebab sandwiches at a place around the corner from the hotel and right by the tram station #1 and #19), but we dismissed the idea because we thought we wanted only Italian food in Italy. Luckily, we got another chance to try it out one night when we returned past midnight and it's the only eatery that's still open. After looking at the Italian menu and the pictures and talking to the very eager-to-help staff limited English) at the counter, we ordered to go the Kebab pizza completa 7.50 Euros). It’s made with shaved meat from a spit roast, and tossed with mixed green salad on top. We're asked if we wanted chili sauce and we said yes and it was a good decision. We were really wowed by the taste of the pizza back at the hotel as it's delicious and different from pizzas we're familiar with. We made a conscious decision to return for dinner before leaving Milan, and we're so glad we did. We went at a busy time and found seats outside under a plastic tent that's so common at eating establishments in Italy. We ordered the same kebab completa pizza again. After looking at all the pictures and talking to the counter staff, we settled on the lamb plate 7.50 Euros) which was complete with 2 long skewers of tender chunks of meat without being greasy, a very delicious rice concoction with what looked like barley mixed in, potato fries, grilled tomatoes and mixed green salad the salad is missing from the picture because the waiter misunderstood me and thought that I wanted the salad served on a separate plate when I asked if we could order an extra serving of salad. The waiter brought the salad on a glass plate and olive oil and vinegar to the table before the other food was ready). We also went for a bottle of wine seeing that it's only 5 Euros. For the wine, the waiter just picked one from an assortment of bottles on top of a cabinet and told us it’s good, and it WAS good see picture- way better than the 7.5 Euros glass of wine at Obika at the Rinascente). The waiter also brought a small loaf of piping hot bread with the rest of our meal. It was a lot of food but we polished them all off as everything was so good and tasty. We still marvel at our 20 Euros experience and talk about it with very fond memories. Highly recommend if you’re in the vicinity of Enterprise Hotel/Piazza Firenze. Go for the good food and value, and not for the ambience although it’s a fun, first experience for us to sit outside under a plastic tent. Btw, we’re very late for lunch one day, walked past a very small hole-in-the-wall eatery on the street that's next to and parallels Corso Sempione with your back to the hotel) and ended up grabbing two kebab sandwiches there because we saw the pictures showing the sandwiches outside the place. They’re excellent too 3.50 Euros so much better than a Big Mac). The young man serving spoke English. It’s actually our first introduction to Turkish kebab. Don’t remember the name but it seems as if all these outfits have the word “Istanbul” as part of their names."
