The pizzas have a very very fine dough and there is a good variety of choice, I also recommend trying the very good hamburger, The staff is very friendly and professional. "Ordered steak that was basically killed twice that's how overcooked it was. Diavola and calzone were the only saving grace. Everything else I'd never order again especially a steak (di mazno as the owner is trying to say I meant the 16 euro steak. Di mazno is clearly steak as well) that's 22 euros comes with no sides and you're never asked how you'd like it prepared. I've never been somewhere where the default wellness is well done. Good views have to be for the place next door on accident. Service charge for a sleeping infant is insulting too as she was in a kangaroo carrier and took up no space and required no service. "Un cordiale benvenuto seguito da un insediamento quasi conquistato. L'ordinazione dei pasti è stata fatta in modo, in una bella sequenza di come i corsi dovrebbero essere portati a tavola, ma l'implementazione era completamente poco professionale. Tutti hanno ottenuto il primo corso secondo quello che era conveniente in cucina e ha dovuto aspettare fino a quando abbiamo finito di mangiare individualmente. "Very intimate and romantic place, friendly and helpful staff, very good food. Let me start by saying that I am a vegetarian and here there were several dishes that I could choose (two starters, three first courses and obviously the side dishes) I took the mushroom gnocchi and they were excellent! My partner preferred a fish menu with a crudité starter and a second course. We finished it all off with two excellent desserts (abundant tiramisu and a panna cotta) the wine list is extensive, not cheap but we managed to find the right bottle for us. With dessert we had a glass of moscato (which was offered to us on the final bill) Fair price for a restaurant in the center of Venice and generous portions."

"Tiramisu is like a little slice of Italy in your mouth We didn't even plan to come here, and we're so thankful we did! We came wanting some margherita and yet the dessert blew us away! This tiramisu was truly AH-MAZZZ-INGG! Definitely a melt in your mouth situation and I don't think we could've gotten anything better then this! "Visited the place in winter when it wasn’t too crowded. The location is quite popular as it is on the path if you wanna go further to the Santa Maria Della Salute. The food itself is actually pretty good but it is sometimes too expensive. They dont write prices for everything so the check was 60 euroes for some deserts, coffee and wine. Can’t blame them for that but they could atleast tell that they serve expensive wine only. The service is awful. There are a lot of waiters but they come only to italian people and you have to wait 20 minutes even if you call them. The cafes next to it had hesters outside and this one didnt so it was pretty cold outside as it was full inside."

"We went to this restaurant one lunchtime in October in 2022. Best margarita pizza and tomato pasta we had ever had. We just came back to Sorrento today and searched for La Basilica. We eventually found it. My wife had La Basilica pizza and I had Scialatielli allo scoglio (clams, mussels, king prawn cooked in a sauce that tasted like it had been cooked for days in a slow cooker . We had a tiramisu also. All wine and food as amazing as before. Staff were fantastic as well. All i can say to them is Bravo! Grazia! Salut! We will be back. Probably tomorrow :"

"April 2024- food was good, service fast. Pasta dishes seem homemade. The outside seating was wonderful on a cool spring evening. They had heaters and servers were friendly. I had the cannelloni stuffed with ricotta and spinach. Great flavor. Husband had carbonara that came out in an awesome pan. Only fault was when we were paying the bill the waiter was VERY pushy for a tip. That was very uncomfortable. Our bill came out to €33.50 for: 2 pasta dishes @11€ each , natural water 3.50, 1/2 liter house wine 8."

"Tornando a Capri, ricordavo di aver mangiato un'ottima pizza in questo ristorante e confermo che non è cambiato nulla. La stessa qualità dei prodotti, la simpatia e la gentilezza dello staff. "Avoid at all costs if you're coeliac Gluten Free. Ordered a takeaway gluten free Margherita and asked twice (once to a waiter and once to the manager) and they confirmed twice this was gluten free. Upon eating it around the corner we thought it was too good to be gluten free. So we returned to the restaurant to ask the waiter out the front and he confirmed straight away it WAS NOT gluten free. Offered no refund but they made us a new gf pizza but I don't know if we even should eat it now because how careless they were. Waiter was apologetic but manager couldn't care less and didn't even give eye contact. Hope my wife doesn't get sick now as we play russian roulette. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!"
