"I'm never going to recover from the dinner I shared with my fiancee here because it will never be replicated. In a word amazing. Starting with the service first insanely attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, conversational, and helpful with recommendations without overselling you (although I left so painfully full but I will get to the food soon). Our primary waiter was just an amazing dude and I hope he reads this review. My only regret was not catching his name, but he was younger than the others with dark hair and a beard. I wish him and his wife well!! Now to the food I am rarely this serious and don't often write reviews, so take heed: They start you with four kinds of fresh bread and a an entire wheel of cheese (but don't over do it like I did... I was famished and the cheese was insanely good). Thereafter we ordered a moderately priced bottle of red (Turriga 2019 absolutely delicious), the scampi shrimp with table side shaved black truffles, and the shaved artichoke and parm salad. I could have died there happy. Order that and thank me later. After that we split a two pound lobster (he brought two live ones to the table for us to choose from, which if you're an animal person may be off putting, but consider it a mercy kill from their waiting room tank lives... haha). It was beautifully served with fresh made tagliolini with a light but perfect tomato sauce, and at that point I hit food nirvana. For dessert we had homemade blueberry grappa, (she had sambucca), espresso, and they brought over a giant block (literally 25 pounds) of incredible dark chocolate with some tools for you to just chip away at it. It was so good. The meal will go down in history for me as one of the greatest. Thank you to the staff and kitchen for such an amazing experience."

Me and my family are client in this restaurant since several years, the owner and workers are always very polite and professional. As regards the food I couldn't ask for better Italian products, they're always very fresh and all the dishes are tempting! You can find different types of Italian cheeses, wines, beers and craft beers. The atmosphere is amazing! For real! The place looks like a little heaven...surrounded by nature with a little mountain river and hiking trails...one of them leads you to the abbey of San Pietro al monte, an architectural complex of Romanesque style in the town of Civate... A must see! Hostaria da edo even offers apartments and bedroom for your vacation! If you're looking for a pleasant and peaceful stay book here! Lucia"
