"After carefully searching for a Japanese restaurant to go to with my boyfriend, we found Mūn, which, judging by the high number of reviews and average star rating, seemed like the perfect restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant, the interior seemed quite welcoming, nothing too exuberant. After being accompanied to the table we were given two lists each without any explanation, at which point, after opening the menus, we tried to understand which of the two was for the all you can eat formula and which was à la carte. We find ourselves having to ask one of the room staff, who informs us which of the two menus was the right one to use, without giving any other information. Later, after having carefully looked at the menu, we realized that oysters were also present, which was quite strange considering their price. We ask one of the waiters for further information, who replies we don 't even have them and adds that in the all you can eat formula there were no dishes containing lobster, red prawn, scampi, eel and crab (obviously none of this was indicated in the menu). After understanding how the menu works, we begin to write down the names of the dishes on our phones, as there is nothing to write them on and they are not numbered. When the first dishes arrive we begin to eat. Cucumber was present in one of the dishes ordered, even though only crab and avocado were listed as ingredients on the menu. Luckily I 'm not allergic to cucumbers, otherwise it would definitely have turned into a very stormy afternoon. Subsequently, as we were about to finish some dishes, a gentleman we had not yet seen approached, who apparently was the person in charge of collecting the empty dishes, approached us with a shy smile and signaled to us that we had to empty the dishes not yet. empty, after taking the empty plates, walking away he whispers but how do you do it? . But it doesn 't end here! 40 minutes before their actual closing, with the place still quite full, the music was turned off. We will definitely not be returning. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3"

"My wife and I were so glad that we found this cozy Chinese restaurant while looking for a place for dinner on 10/31. Their sign “clay pot rice”, their signature dish, immediately caught our attention. We gave it a try and were totally delighted. It is very rare yo see a clay pot rice (a specialized dish) restaurant in a place like Milan. Most restaurants don’t even offer that in Chinese populated places like San Francisco Bay Area, USA (where we are from). In fact we like it so much we went back the next night 11/1 and had more. First night we had chicken mushroom rice, har gow (shrimp dumpling). The next night we had the Chinese sausage pork rib rice, chicken feet and clay pot squid. On a cold night, nothing is better than a piping hot delicious rice dish cooked to order. Making a good clay pot rice is not easy. The chicken and pork ribs were marinated well and rice was cooked to the right texture, not undercooked or watery. The har gow shrimp dumpling skin was thin and translucent like it should be. The shrimp meat texture was just right. It was much better and far less expensive than MU Dim Sum we tried the other day. The chicken feet was also a surprise find in Milan. The skin is fluffy separating from the bones like it should be. All in all just a fantastic experience in this small restaurant. Sonia was very friendly and sociable making our dinner that much better. Even local Italians came for their delicious food. If you are looking for Chinese food, look no further and try their clay pot rice, especially on a cold night. "Take a look at the positive reviews of the Hotel Gritti Palace, and you will notice that not a single visible minority has rated it highly. Having just returned from a stay there for 5 nights, I can explain why. On our stay, I often was in the entrance foyer waiting for my wife. She 's slow to get ready she literally will take 30 minutes to freshen up. Instead of sitting in the room watching TV, I waited for her downstairs and got to people watch. What I saw was disgusting. Venice is hot during the summer, so sometimes tourists come into the lobby to cool off in the AC. I realized that whenever a White family came in to cool off, the security/concierge staff let them be. However, if a Black family, or an Asian family, or a Latino family came in, they immediately asked them for their room key. By the 3rd day of our trip, I wanted to test out whether this was true. My wife (who is Black) walked in ahead of us when we got back to the hotel one night, and stood by the front door. Within 30 seconds, hotel staff came to ask her to show her a room key. A few minutes later, I walked in and stood at the door. Despite being Latino, I 'm White enough looking that I can easily pass. I stood there for 5 minutes, and no one gave me a second look. I asked the manager on duty about their policy and in his broken Italian/English, essentially confirmed that it was up to the staff 's discretion to determine who was likely to be a guest and who was not. Racism is prevalent in Italy, and was a massive problem at this supposedly classy hotel."
