"we have been in 29 states for a few days and have always been enthusiastic about the food and service. it was so sad to hear how bad the restaurant in this winter was affected by the floods and so when they were back on, we booked a table. when we realized that they run a living social deal of two cursor and glass prossecco for 2 for £19.00, we bought this in advance. after renovation in 29 states we received a warm welcome from the staff. the decoration and the floor image looks fabulous and the whole place looks refreshed. the living social deal means that they can order food from the menu up to a certain value and then pay the difference that they want a higher price meal. popadoms and dips were also included in the deal. eating is served with a modern note. with elegant tellers and noble dishes. the dips are the norm, but the popadoms are triangular and give the impression that it is that little different. the glass of prosecco was delicious and not slippery on any wise (we have at the end a bottle of it to go with our meal) the child selection is either fish finger or chicken bugs both served with chips and under £3.00 tom had this before and they were really nice. this time he wanted the same as we have (what he really meant was naan, rice chips). the appetizers were tasty, paul had seah kebab and I had the chicken chettinad and paul lamb laal maas. to forget the amount of food served we also ordered a pulao saffron rice. eating was absolutelyley spot on. appealing, pleasant to look and absolutelyley delicious. they call his Indian cuisine with a modern twist theme and it is really. the food is served with style and class with a taste to fit. the staff is always so friendly, the chef made one appear and we left absolutelyley filled still ready to return soon."

Our favourite restaurant in York. Has a great view of the museum and castle and easy to park. The food is the best and the service is great.

The Balti chicken was so flavorful with the perfect amount of spice if you enjoy spicy food you can still taste. Best Indian restaurant in York!

the food was delicious and the menu has many possibilities. the sad part was that we waiter in uniform awaited and a fine culinary experience. it is more like a back street rough and ready caffe.

Restaurant empty. Someone was cleaning and dusting around when we were eating. Even though on my Compare the Market app they refused to accept it and stated they were no longer part of the scheme. Food OK. Will not return.

had the most pleasant experience here a few months ago. the food was fantastic, the staff was so helpful and the chef was a joy. I will definitely book another table and recommend this restaurant for family and friends. thanks to all the staff.

Fab food. Fab service. Love this Indian restaurant best in York for me. Lovely site too opposite the york castle and museum. Easy parking. We had a lovely meal taking our visitors who really enjoyed it and when return will book it again. A must go to.

Food was excellent. 6 people can be hard to please but everyone enjoyed it. The place needs a good tidy up and modernising. The back door had been left open to air the place with a view of an untidy yard with old furniture piled up. The place was pretty full so spend some money guys and you have a gold mine!
