The experience at this restaurant was exceptional! The steak was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious with every bite. The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, turning a meal into a memorable experience. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for top-notch food and a wonderful time!

We arrived to be greeted at the door by a lovely young lady and taken to our table, we got our drinks order taken swiftly and drinks arrived shortly after the cocktails were immaculate and then after ordering our food and waited for no more than 15 mins and the food was amazing and any requests we had the staff were there for, overall the experience was 10/10 Would like to say a special thank you for becca and mason who made our night even better with theyre funny banter, 10/10 would go again.

Really poor service food was average, ambiance was non existent. The staff would walk around with their heads down trying to avoid eye contact. We didn’t get a menu for about 30 minutes after sitting down, our order was then taken incorrectly, and when receiving our food it was implied I hadn’t ordered what I thought I had ordered, with no apology. I tried to contact the restaurant 3 times before writing a public review but no reply. My family drove from 100 miles away for Christmas day lunch and we were hoping it would have been so much better at £90/head. The hors d'oeuvres on the table were cold, the main course was cold and the turkey was very dry, it seemed like something you'd buy from a supermarket. We waited quite a while between courses. There was butter on the table with no bread, and it took ages for our drinks to arrive. The restaurant was lovely but there was no loo roll in the toilets. Our waitresses were really nice and polite but we were very disappointed with the quality of the food.

My family and I traveled from Oxford to have Christmas Day Lunch at this restaurant. With a price of £90 per person, we were expecting a top-notch dining experience. However, we were sorely disappointed. The restaurant was crowded and it was evident that they were understaffed, as we had to wait an incredibly long time for our drinks and food. Despite giving our Christmas menu choices in advance, our meals were not served as requested. Some items were missing, the food was cold, and the desserts were subpar. Christmas Day….a time of joy and celebration with loved ones….and unfortunately on this occasion some really poor service and some oversold and underrated food. Third Avenue seemed woefully short-staffed and disorganised on Christmas Day. Service was slow and the food was not at all like the pre-bookable menu suggested it would be with items missing from the meals and a general lack of attention to detail and zero finesse. Booked Third Avenue a month in advance for a xmas meal with 6 friends and sad to say it was the worst dining experience. We arrived at 14:45 for our sitting and we didnt receive our drinks until 15:30. Then followed by our starters 50 mins later which were lovely. We then ordered more drinks which took another 20 mins, there was also a large family table next to us who were also having the same food and drinks issues and eventually got up and left as they didnt received any main course. 16:45 we then finally received our luke warm main course which by this time we were so hungry and fed up so we just ate paid the bill and left. Hired the downstairs of third Avenue for my partners birthday party and it was awfully disorganised and unprofessional from start to finish. Arrived and no drinks or clean glasses available, only 1 member of staff downstairs to serve 50 people. Staff complained all night about management and how they get no help from them. They told me he was there that night but didn’t want to face us so left them all to it and did not offer any help or solution to the poor service we were given. I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment with the dining experiences my party and I encountered at Third Avenue, both during a Sunday dinner and on Christmas Day. During our initial visit for Sunday dinner, we were met with a nearly empty restaurant, slow service, and subpar food quality. The steak was inedible, the sea bass didn't match the menu description, and the overall meal left much to be desired. However, the staff's courtesy and prompt resolution by refunding uneaten meals provided a glimmer of hope for our planned Christmas Day reservation.
