"We visited this restaurant on Saturday night at 19:00 on 22. August 2015. Since this year there have been an unusually large number of bees that fly outside when we arrived, we discussed whether we eat inside or outside. Since we did not see bees outside and it was such a beautiful evening, we decide to eat outside (at our visit there, no bees bothered us). I made a reservation before our visit and our table waiting for us as we arrived. The Capitano Port Restaurant Menu offers a wide range of dishes both German and Italian. The menu is easy to read and understand. There are also salads, soups, pasta and fish dishes (for vegetarians). In addition, they have meals for the small appetite and special meals for children. The prices are average and the food content is average and fair. After studying the menu we ordered our drinks. I only saw coke in size 0.3 l. I would have preferred a choice of coke in more than one size. However, we did not have to play the drinking game, because the same person who took our order brought our drinks and she did not have to ask who ordered what. Our drinks came relatively fast and they were nice and cold. They also came before our food, as it should be. This restaurant offers its customers bread with their meals. However, since we were not offered bread when our entrées were served, we asked for some. The bread came shortly after we had asked to spread it with Quark. The quark had a very good taste. A new and working idea in this restaurant was that our food and beverage orders were brought to the table by our waitress with a computer-assisted ordering system that immediately sent our order to the kitchen. In fact, our orders were communicated so quickly to the kitchen that when my partner decided to change their order with a salad, I had to follow immediately and tell the waitress. I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel (1 large piece of meat) with frits and salad for 10.50 €. My partner had spaghetti with shrimps (which was spicy and hot served) for €12.90. My partner also ordered a salad with chicken. My carving was delicious and as I tasted the spaghetti of my partner, I can recommend both dishes as delicious. Both salads were served at the same time, but unfortunately we had little time to eat them before our main dishes came. The reason salads and bread are served in front of the main dish so customers have something to eat while waiting for their main dish. The outer tables and chairs are robust. The outdoor tables are simply decorated with a paper table runner (which was unfortunately old and dirty), coasters, list of special offers and a clean ash floor. The outdoor area of the restaurant is spacious and well organized in relation to the room and the tables are nicely spaced with space between them for people to move within the terrace without disturbing other customers and also with the tables full, it is not chair back to chair. Seat cushions are available for outdoor chairs. Most outdoor tables were protected from rain or sun with a parasol or jam. The outdoor tables are for 4 people. However, if necessary, they can be seated by common movement of tables and chairs 8 or 12 etc. Therefore, it would be a great place for a special occasion or a large group. From the elevated terrace you have a great view of the marina, the campsite beyond, the Mosel River, ships on the Mosel and the other side of the Mosel near Winningen. Since the restaurant's indoor and outdoor terrace is above the street level, the loudness of the outdoor activities could have some, but a limited effect on the customers. It's a shame the restaurant doesn't play background music outside. I noticed that dogs were also welcome outside. Since we're not sitting inside, I can't comment on the restaurant's interior. This restaurant has no own parking. Nearby there is a parking lot for those who come to the marina and camping. Therefore you do not have to hunt in a side street to a parking lot and pay for the parking lot. We found a parking lot only 30 meters from the restaurant. At the bottom of the steps leading to the restaurant's terrace, there is a menu. Unfortunately, the steps that led to the terrace were contaminated with garbage and the plants were overgrown to the steps. Disabled access: While there are two stages leading to the restaurant, unfortunately they both have about 20 steps. But once on the top of the terrace, the disabled can easily reach the outdoor dining area and also access to the restaurant inside dining area. Tables and chairs outside can be moved to wheelchair access. Since we're not sitting inside, I can't check the restaurant's interior. We were kindly wished a pleasant day as we paid our bill, received the correct change and gave the waitress their tip. This restaurant has its own internet site. "in the old mill thomas Höreth you already realize that it is not a restaurant where the owners have set themselves the goal of offering a lot of food for little money to appeal to customers as broad as possible, but rather to celebrate the fact of eating. the visit there is not only a meal, but an experience. even during winter without snow, you will be enchanted by the yard before entering the mill. all sorts of lovingly placed petty things are to be discovered, outside as inside and I am sure to fall on every visit a lot of other things. Although the environment despite several guests, was quite quiet, there was no depressing silence, one felt equally comfortable and domestic. among the customers of the family Höreth belong, besides the locals also international, which is another significant indicator that they have also made themselves a name in the surrounding area due to their lovely facility. now I wonder whether it is the taste of the owners to decorate with a lot of love for the detail and the also added somewhat overloaded art, or whether you try to pull the focus on it to overthrow other small inadequacies. for example eating. the card is very promising, although written by hand, but additionally underpainted, and with sufficient selection, especially as regards the drinks. in an acceptable time frame you could look at the restaurant and the associated store and discover a lot. the foods were appropriately tempered and the appetizers with the associated self-baked brot were a dream. in the main court the duck was excellently fried, but the compilation of the sweet did not testify to a high gaumen consciousness - the speck beans with the cheek- kartoffel burin now remind me of a communion, especially since the speck tastefully did not harmonize with the dee. this faux pas was revised with the dessert, the lebkuchenparfait has sympathized with the caramelized puddles so wonderfully that the pre-Christmas mood has penetrated directly through the lean into consciousness. the service was very courteous, appropriately distanced and articulation-capable, whereby the accommodating behavior would certainly be increased. the gast has the feeling of being well-resolved, but lacks the feeling of being served and standing at the center of the restaurant expert. "Am Sonntag kam ich durch Wolken auf meiner Wanderung auf dem rheinburgenweg. Ich wollte in dem Restaurant Getränke zu mir nehmen. Beim reinkommen wurde ich mit der Info begrüßt das nur mit Reservierung bedient wird. Nur Kaffee „ginge schlecht“. Man drückte mir die Speisekarte in die Hand, wenn ich was essen würde ginge auch Kaffee. Ich war die letzten Jahre auf vielen Touren in vielen Restaurants aber so eine „ Gastfreundlichkeit“ muss man suchen. Das Restaurant war bis auf 1 Tisch mit 2 Personen übrigens leer."
