"I was disappointed that Caramel restaurant did not clearly communicate that they were closed for renovations. I made the trip assuming it was open since I was able to book a reservation before the 7th and checked online, which indicated it was open. It was very inconvenient and disappointing as I had planned to have my birthday meal there."

Food was amazing and their service was exceptional. The staff were soft spoken and catering to needs. Inside is beautiful and is lovely for a couples dinner.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is closed and OpenTable should not be allowing bookings to be made. I made a reservation to dine here, only to arrive and find that the restaurant was not open. It was a waste of my time.

Our table was booked for 8.30 and at 10.05 a member of staff told us we had to leave because the next booking had arrived. Despite not having finished our dinner and drinks. Really disappointing and a rubbish end to what was a nice dinner!

Really enjoyed lunch here. The service is fantastic and the waiting staff are lovely and welcoming. Food was delicious. And loved the restaurant...decor and environment were perfect! Thanks. Look forward to coming again next time we are in London :

I arrived at the restaurant only to discover that it was closed for renovations. It would be greatly appreciated if you could avoid booking a reservation at a closed establishment. Thank you for your understanding and consideration of our travel time.

"No doubt about it the food is first rate. Expertly cooked and well seasoned. The service is not what one would expect at a restaurant of this level (e.g. having to ask for wine list or water refill). Retaining qualified staff is challenging but the top restaurants manage that. Glass all around and close tables make for a loud and crowded environment but ambiance is clearly not a priority. If you only go for the food and not the experience it’s fine."

"My third time in the morning. I stole my friend with me, as I told him, it's the best restaurant in London and it wasn't disappointed. Parmesan fritters were exceptional as usual, and the kitchen shared our sausage Ragu Pasta (which should die for), in two pots when we said we share everything. Friend asked if we could come monthly from now on to enjoy the changing menus! Best meal we ever had. Thank you very much! X"

"Apparently they were very busy (just as a side note I booked in advance) so we were seated in the downstairs “breakfast room” rather than in the lobby level afternoon tea room (the room that is advertised with the nice tea sets and cute sofas an quirky tea room interior). That was already very disappointing. The room was in the lower ground level, it had a few breakfast tables, but otherwise felt empty and in addition the doors were closed. Luckily, another family arrived and was seated in the same room as us, so we felt a little less isolated and abandoned afterwards. The food was not even average in terms of quality, the sandwiches and scones were OK, but the cakes (although there was a selection of them) were not good at all. They were dry and somewhat tasteless. Definitely not reflecting the price! The friendliness and kindness of the waitress was the best part of the experience. She was extremely nice to us and to our dog. Overall, the afternoon tea at the Egerton House Hotel was disappointing and massively overpriced (we paid £184 for two including one glass of champagne each and the dog’s menu). The only benefit of this experience (or let’s say the only experience) is that you can bring your dog. But is it worth it? The answer is most definitely NO!!!!!!"

"Malaysian and Cantonese menu. Nice decor, well air-conditioned, very friendly and chatty staff. I had Aromatic crispy duck starter this was one of the best I've tried, the duck was cooked well and very delicious. The pancakes are big. Nasi Lenka the chicken was delicious, rice flavoured with coconut, side of peanuts and egg and a paste sauce. Anchovies I am not keen on so didn't eat them. I enjoyed this dish. Crisp beef it is very crispy cooked all the way through so it doesn't even taste like beef anymore and covered in a sweet sauce. It was like eating niknaks. I didn't enjoy this dish as much as the rest. Golden prawns giant prawns covered in crushed cornflakes. Again this tatsed too sweet for me, I enjoyed the prawns but I wouldn't recommend. Complimentary prawn crackers. This came to over £100 for 2 people. I feel like this was a little pricey. Parked on single yellow."

"This restaurant is my absolute favorite. I have dined here more than 5 times and have never had a negative experience. The flavors left my taste buds thrilled and the cozy atmosphere and outstanding service made for a truly unforgettable dining experience. Plus, there was even belly dancing to enjoy!"
