"The fact that it is also worthwhile in smaller cities such as Lünen to leave the main shopping street and look around the side streets, I have experienced one of my last visits there. It was a very hot August day, and despite the heat I got a disturbing feeling of hunger. At the Christinentor, a little outside the main street, I saw the wonderfully shaded outdoor area of the restaurant Acropolis. Unfortunately, all tables were occupied, the conversations were also partly very passionate and loud. Then the interior I had for me was left. The decor is cozy with beautiful decorations, but for my taste the tables are too close together, but the place is required for the guests. All employees were very friendly and accommodating my order was quickly abandoned, while the heat only a Greek peasant salad was questioned as a embarrassing solution I ordered a crevice. At first there was a clear appetizer from the house that put me in a more balanced mood. The peasant salad was simply wonderfully fresh and crisp, but the cheese was broken on the tongue. For my entertainment was also well looked after, in the side table a few with child took place, and it was very interesting to come with how the spiritual father brought in no time to order woman and child what he wanted. To do this, one must know that the lady was more involved in studying the map, while the child showed only interest in the accessories that were probably bought shortly before for a fantasy game. But the neighborhood had something very good, the three ordered themselves to dessert, namely Rawani, whose smell was so tempting that I also ordered it against all good intentions diet. Rawani is a caramelized Griespudding, served in combination with ice cream. How seductive and good that tasted, you can see that I only thought of a photo when he almost disappeared from the plate. At first I wanted to order a second part for a good photo, but then... In the end there was also a fruity alcoholic bribe at the expense of the house, and so I went stronger and was prepared against the heat, of course only after payment. Prices: Krefelder 0,3 2,10€ Greek peasant salad 7,80€ Rawani 3,50€ Conclusion: a cozy place with good Greek cuisine and very friendly staff really recommended. By the way, I noticed that this is the third place with the name Acropolis I rated."

I've been going to the Acropolis for over 30 years. The owners have changed several times, but it was and is always super quality. The staff is always very accommodating and you don't have to wait long. I'll stay true to the Acropolis in the coming years.

"Last time at El Greco. In Neuwied there is unfortunately little choice for the size of the city. That's why I'm so glad that there's a good Greek. We could sit well with 8 people, the service is very nice, the beverage service could come a bit more regular, but you can also sit quietly. The food was quickly there for the group and was tastefully again very good. The restaurant is nicely decorated, there was a free ouzo at the end. Look forward to my next visit."

"Our annual bike tour to the Ratshotel in Haltern am See was over, in the evening we wanted to pamper ourselves in the Council rooms (this year was no report, it was a pleasant evening as 2020, pictures from the menu uploaded on 26.07.21 at 08:30 as information for curious). We always vary the approach. This time we came to the train in Rheine and drove with the wheels to Hamm. From the main station we went to the Lippe cycle path and we wanted to drive about 60 kilometers to holders at the lake. Shortly before 12 o'clock we had started in Hamm, it was hot and slim and after approx. 30 kilometers we approached the lies and the desire for a break, a big beer and some food came up with my wife and me. In Lünen we have never been, the cycle path leads almost in the middle of the city along the lip. At the level of the pedestrian zone we looked around. We noticed a terrace in a beautiful, semi-concrete house in the old town. When we approached, we saw the name: Irodion, a Greek restaurant. Not exactly what you can imagine under a light lunch. We saw the scepticism of my wife towards Greek cuisine, at most once a year, can be made in the year a corresponding proposal for a return. But outside you could sit well, it was almost 2:00, and you wanted to serve us on request, despite the end of the lunch time at 2:30. So we took place under the umbrellas in the Hochwill shadow. Grilled pig, beef, chicken, turkey and lamb with the known supplements. No food if you want to cycle at 30 degrees to 30 kilometers according to holders. But we joined the appetizers. Tasty paprika and carrots, red onion, parsley with a vinaigrette, with small pieces of tender pulpo. Delicious summer kitchen. A young gentleman and a young lady served the food and drinks friendly and attentive. They did that without criticism. Nice lunch break with a light meal, as hoped. And if hunger is greater, then one is on the safe side with a Greek. Grilled plates and meat mountains served on the side tables are visually equivalent to what you want when you come to a Greek."

"a cozy restaurant with incredibly beautiful and warm owners who give them the feeling to be friends. they really care about their big and small guests, I felt very comfortable. Eating is not exceptional, but it is delicious. the card is not very extensive, but there are many different dishes on the menu, they always find something. the kitchen could be a bit more modern, with Italian waiting for certain dishes, and this is also in good quality here. I give a star to wait until some of us wait long and we had to pay the bill ourselves because we paid separately. but these are small. overall it was a beautiful evening in a beautiful atmosphere and with good eating."
