"We had a pleasant lunch at the Café de l'Union in L'Escarene. The food was simple but well prepared and quite nicely presented. Menu choices centre around steaks and salads. One of us had "petit farcis" which were pretty tasty. Service was just about acceptable without any danger of becoming warm or friendly! Everyone around us seemed to be smoking like it was going out of fashion (we were eating outside). Prices were quite reasonable. Note that the bill stipulated "especes" - in other words, credit cards are not accepted."

"Passing through this pretty village, We ordered takeaway pizzas first, they were excellent and large quantities We came back one evening and were able to enjoy the restaurant. It was also excellent The service is impeccable, the staff are top notch Unbeatable in terms of value for money"

"An incredible place! In Contes a very big chance to have a very high quality spoon that also makes restaurant. The products are very fresh and the dishes are worth a 3 star! We look forward to returning there every time because the service is friendly and effective. Currently open in the evening we enjoy this atmosphere both peaceful but very friendly. "It's hard to say because I couldn't eat of it, of course, covid cause, but the place is pretty and as a tales resident I hope one day I can settle there to taste their dishes that look very appetizing! I know it's very good and they're taking it now and there's room to park! Take to the right just before the thyme flower or after it and you will see everything you need to park and discover our recently finished place of its work so beautiful view of the top of the village that is served by a funicular in parts! good appetite and good walk in our village of the Niçoise hills! ps: I realized he doesn't accept dogs so it'll be gone, maybe someday, really bad! I understand the standing of the restaurant!"

"loved the place large selection of meat, fish and pasta/pizza. Best Calemare/Calmaris/Squid I have ever eaten, fresh brot, Italian charcoal with butter (for the brot, the first time served in frankreich in 2 weeks) as starter. and beautiful callb with tagliatelle, with parmezan cheese and lamb with pomme terre as main. could not try the desserts, too full (good portions) price well. location on the city square staff was super and helpful ladies( checked several times when everything was in order) ran as hard (good) as she could, and friendly barkeeper best restaurant experience in southern France since 14 days loved!"
