Has many varieties of Tamil food like dosa, appam, idly, idiyappam etc.. Almost all varieties can be made vegan. Very friendly owners and very delicious food. Must visit.

Since a large Tamil community lives in the district of Dortmund Union, there is a wide range of shops and restaurants. From the latter alone 5 within 500 m! We've all tested, but with Viji and his wife it tastes best. As was often written here: everything is freshly prepared, most things are also vegan available. My favourite: Veggie Samosa and then the 51 vegan hot. Sometimes there's a little dessert on the house. Prices are unbeatable. In addition, the head of the house is still the most friendly person you can imagine.

This restaurant is a pleasant surprise. Located in a rather unromantic area of Dortmund, you just have to come in and feel like you’re in Sri Lanka. They offer other dishes than the typical Indian currys, some food I had never heard of before like Kothu, Rotti or Idiyappam. All dishes have a vegetable variety labelled „veg“ and you can get the vegan form, too. Even the masala tea or coffee you can get with coconut milk, just ask for. I chose the special rice thali and was more than happy with the taste, quality and amount of food. You can close your eyes and enjoy the taste.

to all those who live in there or who visit there, I can recommend Annam ́s tamil food warmth. I don't know if I've ever eaten freshly prepared food in a restaurant. Vegetarians and vegans have a super large selection here and everything is incredibly affordable, measured by the super quality of the food. I highly recommend Annams ́s special veggi reis (nr. 51 and the lens blade(No. 12 (hammer:!) I almost always order the same because it just tastes so incredibly good. I also tried the lemonreis (No.55 and kilanku rotti (no. 11) and was very enthusiastic. the owners are very nice and make sure everyone feels comfortable. updated from previous review on 2020 06 12
