This is a great family run local Italian restaurantThe food is limited I'm choice but is extremely good in execution.

This place is a gem - a bit old fashioned, but romantic and lovely and generally a nice quieter spot away from the bustle of the millions of Gallipolis

antonio’s was in my list of restaurants to go to Angel/Islington area as it looked like a real Italian diner. we had a beautiful super smooth suffle di formaggio di capra (käse souffle) and a mushroom pizza (mushroom). pizza was super thin, crispy and delicate in the middle with a large taste. service is professional and the cost are good for quality. We celebrated my daughter's birthday at this restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime and were extremely impressed! The food was fantastic (we have a home in Italy and can distinguish good and authentic cuisine from the rest). The recommended wine was also delicious. The service was friendly and welcoming, just as we would expect from a family-owned restaurant. We had a great experience and will definitely be returning.

Shocked. By Catfish comments on the food surely he has never eateb there?? a true hidden gem I found recently whilst on business in London and will return again and again, I only wish I did not live so far away!! I have a home in Puglia southern Italy I tell you this place is the nearest most authentic ristorante I have ever found in the UK, using the finest ingredients. I only came on here to get the tel number but felt compelled to write a reply!

We had an amazing evening at Antonio's in Islington, London. The authentic Italian restaurant was recommended to us on Urban Spoon and did not disappoint. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations with a diverse menu that offered unique options. The service was warm and welcoming, and we were all satisfied without feeling too full. this restaurant is located in the upper street. we stumbled it out one night and decided to try it out! we have booked a table and are so glad that we have made it! we came and were immediately greeted, were placed on a beautiful table and looked happy through the menu. wein wasn't too expensive. We loved everything we ordered. I'm a little picky, but I couldn't blame anything about eating. fresh, hot, delicious and full of taste. if they haven't eaten here, I'll push them to try! friendly family-run restaurant in the heart of islington. perfect!

real Italian restaurant in angel! do not let them be fooled by the fact that it is in the gasse! the restaurant has a domestic feeling and offers a wide range of Italian food (pasta, pizza, meat). I went with my man and ordered the mixed antipasti with cessingina (pillow of fried teig), which was simple but so delicious. then I ordered osso bucco while my man ordered the cocoa pata with wild boar ragu. both dishes were excellent and cooked for perfection. it is a bit more expensive than most Italian restaurant, but try definitiw. can't wait to come back!

Best service in a long time. Warm, helpful, charming, attentive staff and delicious food I went to Antonio's for my birthday and they treated me like family. I was really taken aback by the sincere and helpful staff. Even the owner's son came out and talked to us and offered me a complimentary dessert The food was very good, the prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was romantic and cosy This is the kind of place you could go with family or a date and have a great time Remember that it's down an alley off of Upper St so it's a bit hard to find if you are not looking for it.
