Aqua Nueva - Menu

It had been some while (like a couple of years) since I had last dined at Aqua Nueva, but I still held strong memories of how much I enjoyed my meal when I recently accepted an invitation to return for a visit after the soft launch of this Spanish restaurant that’s just reopened after a long hiatus for refurbishment.

Mr Thomas. Aqua nueva really stands out as a serious restaurant, I love the whole concept, my favourite dish is the 24hr marinated and braised oxtail, its portion size is excellent and the pumpkin puree is very colourful and tastes great. The service backs the up the quality of the menu . I am looking forward to visiting again very soon.

we had evening drinks after a tiresome shopping talk in the nearby selfridges. it is one of the best places in london regarding ambiente, class and impeccable interiors. we had a few drinks together with some appetizers the best, the padronenpfeffer. the Spanish area with a beautiful dach floor was a great place to clean up the high ghosts.

this review has come a long time, I have to admit because we actually went the night before andy and I flew to croatia, but I promise you it is worth the wait! . a few months ago I won a square meal contest for a meal for 4 in aqua nueva and took the opportunity to catch with andrea and the men in our lives introduce and young we were for one!

So I just returned from Spain, have a little color on my skin and everything I think is Spanish cuisine. warm Andalusian suns on my face, plentiful amounts of wine and food made for talks. with all that in mind I recently visited one of the top high-end Spanish restaurants londons just a stone's throw from oxford street, aqua nueva. a glistening modern restaurant, which is supervised by the very talented chef yahir gonzalez.

When I hear the words free flowing, I immediately picture a magical setting, unicorns and delicious food and the like, but most importantly, featuring a dazzling beaut of a champagne fountain. Now sadly Ive never actually seen a fountain of fizz (but my birthday IS coming up but I can dream and an email from Bookatable telling me about their free flowing bubbles deals sends a delicious shiver up my spine and one step closer to one day this bubbly fountain actually materialising.

great place to go with friends as the bar is alive and decor creates a great atmosphere. the eating is nice, has the same sharing idea as with traditional tapas, but the dishes are modern, my favorite being the thunfish (amazing! and stabbed ei with chorizo. service was great, waitress was really attentive, but when they arrived as a party of 14 they said they had only one table for 11 (we booked for 14) and we were charged for courts that we did not order. overall but, a great restaurant that I definitely return.

One of my favourite places to meet for drinks in summer is the Aqua rooftop bars by Oxford Circus. I went for dinner at Aqua Kyoto last summer, then visited the modern Spanish sister restaurant Aqua Nuevo last month for the first time and we weren't disappointed. We went for the New Year Solutions menu, available 5 January 28 March, offering dishes like soft poached egg served with beef consommé and pancetta, excellent red prawns croquettes, glazed 24 hour glazed marinated oxtail, salmon and crab mousse with mussels, black cuttlefish rice served with aioli, Catalonia-style roasted vegetables with romesco and hazelnuts, roasted pumpkin and salsify on toast with lime and crispy pumpkin...read...
