"Ca faisait très longtemps que nous n'étions pas venus, et maintenant nous nous disons "mais pourquoi avons-nous attendu aussi longtemps ?". Le repas de ce samedi 10 juin était très agréable; une salle chaleureuse, un service sympathique et plein d'humour, et bien sûr, des plats très réussis. L'entrée était un vrai risque : un homard coque bleue servi avec une capilotade de joue de boeuf. Quelle belle surprise ! Les deux ingrédients se répondent, s'associent, alors qu'on s'attendait plutôt à ce qu'ils se chevauchent, ce plat restera longtemps dans nos mémoires. Un vrai plaisir également que le dos de sandre avec ses linguinis à l'encre de seiche et ses langoustines. Avec tout ça, un splendide Pernand-Vergelesses 1er cru 2014 de Romain Chanson, bravo à lui, il tient tout le repas avec aplomb. Merci pour cet excellent moment, il est plus que probable que nous reviendrons."

Superb experience. Pleasant setting but it is the quality and finesse of the dishes which remains the main thing that we will remember from this evening. Well-balanced quantities and ultimately for this cuisine a good quality/price ratio compared to what you can find in the region.

We were three person for an informal business dinner. Excellent and accurate service, i just had a main dish which was very good. I did not take the dessert, but they offered a selection of 5 "bites" of cookies and sweet really good. Cannot comment the price as i didn't pay but i guess isn't cheap.

Certainement, en guise d'entrée, le meilleur thon dégusté pendant notre semaine de congé. Des fleurs d'artichaut sous diverses formes, une découverte. Le poisson du jour était simplement excellent. Bonne carte des vins. Le service est aussi charmant que plaisant et teinté d'une bonne dose d'humour.

Amuse bouche pomme de terre, saumon. On sent la recherche:-) suggestion du jour filet de bar(manque de maîtrise de la cuisson, heureusement que j aime le poisson cru), servi avec des champignons pas lave (sable entre les dents)prix 36 euros ?????heureusement que le personnel en salle est très aimable, mais si vous recherchez un vrai restaurant gastronomique n y allez pas!!!!!

Petit resto gastro sympa. Le service est relativement rapide pour ce type de resto. L'ambiance est sympa , pas guindé comme souvent dans les gastro. Bien mangé en quantité et qualité . Un bémol avec les desserts qui, Meme s'ils sont bons, ne sont pas à la hauteur de ce genre de resto . Ils manquent de fantaisie et de recherche. Enfin, globalement c'est une bonne adresse et nous y reviendrons avec plaisir

a place worth the detour!! Go find this pretty little restaurant, with a chef who knows how to cook dishes with original flavors with great originality. The card may seem thin, and the prices slightly high, but the value for money is more than interesting. Other nearby restaurants at the same price don't do as well! An address not to be missed!! (We tested the 2 menus in 1 week and our taste buds still remember them.

Very warm welcome, refined and delicious cuisine with a play on tastes and an interesting texture! Daring and delicious weddings! The service is very fast and pleasant. Responsive and smiling staff! The 2nd room is nicer than the first. Having a view of the kitchen with the swing door is not very pleasant, and we share our conversations with those of the neighbors because the tables are close. Thank you for this great culinary experience

"Restaurant Assa is situated a few km outside of Blois, on the West side along the road that follows the Lore. The restaurant is higher up and can be reached by an elevator. The view on the Loire is magnificent. We had dinner on an...evening in July and enjoyed the colors of the sun going down. Even when the sun got down, there was enough light to enjoy the view on the river and the many birds playing and feeding on the islands and low waters. We found the rpice quality and the experience really exceptional. The creativity and harmony of what was served was flabbergasting. On arrival, we received two mini-“amuses”. Nothing exceptional. We ordered aperitif, and received three more small amuse-bouche that were more original and better in line with what was going to follow. The restaurant offers you the possibility to order “blind”. We did not do this and had a look at the dishes before deciding for a menu with two first dishes, one main, one cheese and one desert. The cheese by the way, is another dish, but with one cheese being part (dominating) of the dish. So do not expect a cheese plate like you would get in “normal” restaurants. All dishes were exceptional of harmony and sophistication. The trademark of the restaurant is that each of the dishes is composed of three small dishes, with more or the same basic ingredients but prepared in different ways. All the dishes were exceptional, we were never disappointed. Because of the complexity of the dishes and of the ingredients used, the explanations you receive when being served are a lot of information to digest. We would have appreciated to get a more detailed explanation on paper, eventually at the moment of leaving the restaurant. One of the first dishes we had was we understood an emblematic dish of the chefs. Three small dishes based on foie gras, one like a small cold starter, one hot main course and a desert presented like a yoghurt. Original storytelling but most importantly three different and tasty experiences. We took the option to let the sommelier do the wine pairing. We recommend to do this as it costed 30 euro per person for 5 glasses of wine. We could never have chosen ourselves one or two appropriate wines as you cannot expect what will be on your plate. By the way, do not expect taste bombs, but expect originality, harmony and respect for the ingredients. We hope to be back one day in the region to visit again this exceptional place."
