"The Dining Rooms had very opulent and attractive decor saying this was a special place to dine.Food was OK if not fine dining. The steak had little flavour whilst my creme brulee was cold topped and insipid in taste. Not inspiring but by the look of other restaurants in the town suggested it may be better than most. It did not match the image of the decor in which it was served. Pity. Perhaps we were unlucky that evening.The wine list was again not very interesting, had no information on year, and the waitress obviously knew nothing about the wine. We settled for a Beaujolais as a no risk choice. OK.Service was extremely slow which may have been because we were in the outside Terrace but this should not be used as a reason..Altogether the food was a disappointment to what we were expecting with the level of Decor.We stayed at the hotel which was excellent 5 star rating.Breakfast which we had in a separate room to the main dining rooms was very good."

"the tavern with seaweeds, these super beautiful in the interior, a very good cuisine, very good wine dessert, a very good hot chocolate and very good breeze gauffers, these beautiful setting to go to eat you will not regret quality very reasonable price, going to make a tour is eat you will not be on, very good staff very welcoming, very nice, it deserves to receive these compliments from me, and little to go"

"Nous y sommes allé un samedi soir, en groupe. L'ambiance est chaleureuse, on est bien accueilli. Tous s'est très bien passé, des entrées aux desserts. A aucun moment on ne se sent poussé à partir pour le libérer la place. Nous y sommes resté de 18h50 à 22h30 environ. Nous avons prit le temps de passé une merveilleuse soirée, à table. Évidemment il est important de réserver sa table, mais à vrai dire, elle en vaut le coup. Nous y reviendrons très certainement"

"Accueil agréable et disponible cadre champêtre, bref tout pour nous mettre en appétit Las tout s"effondre pour le plus important, le but de la soirée ...Le repas. J'ai ,il est vrai fait une confusion dans le choix d 'un plat, mais ce que l'on ma servi n'avait rien d'appétissant Sous l'appellation tartine flamande on m'a servi dans une petite terrine une tranche de pain noyée dans une sauce au fromage de Bergues avec pommes de terre et jambon coupé en dés le tout accompagné de..... frites Le saumon aux poireaux n'avait de poireau que le nom ,la carbonnade n'était pas quand à elle mauvaise Quand aux desserts la tarte aux pommes n'était qu'une tarte à la compote sur pâte feuilleté surgelée . A noter que ,m'étant trompé pour aller aux toilettes je me sis retrouvé en cuisine certes très propre mais où ne régnait aucune odrur de cuisson. Je présume donc que tous les plats étaient surgelés."

"Looking for a charming little place for a meal with the Hubby (we don't live too far away but are new in the region and come here for great reviews. I was skeptical about the time costumes etc., but it was actually not cheesy at all. It was charming, beautiful, a great mix of old and redecoration/remodeling. The menu is a good, quite large selection of typical French farewell from the region (Beware stinky cheese! If you're a smokey eater and don't like strange meat and strong cheeses, go for the Welsch. When we arrived, we were alone and it was really cool, and then when people arrived and filled it up, it was another ambience that was also cool. The food wasn't the best I ever had, but it was good enough. Service was great. I'll be here if for nothing else the experience. Account for two dinners, two desserts and two beers 48€. Pretty fair, great amount of food."
