"When driving through France we always try and seek out nice places to eat and stay away from the ghastly, crowded and overpriced motorway joints. L'Auberge du Pont did not disappoint, so much so that we did wonder whether it had a Michelin star. All the ingredients are there: very pleasant contemporary surroundings (even though the artwork may not be to everyone's taste), efficient and friendly staff but most of all a chef who knows how to make the best of quality ingredients and also how to blend his Breton heritage with the local tradition of his adoptive region hundreds of miles away from the ocean. The mackerel starter was Instagram-worthy and delicious, as for the pork filet, it was simply the best I ever tasted, so tender and moist! If you can spare the time, go and experience it for yourself."
