"as a couple in november. eating was good and the staff was friendly and attentive, but easy to overprice. it was illuminated with pink tuning, but that meant that I fought to read the menu without my phone burner. the sushi was beautifully presented, but definitiw overpriced at £6 for 4 vegetarian pieces. £5 for two inari nigiri was also extremely expensive, even more than most Japanese restaurants. we decided to try the mac and cheese and really enjoyed it. the teriyaki lachsspieße were a highlight and they were well cooked. However, the meat in the chopped was a bit too dry, we did not finish it. Overall I see that this place is good for drinks, but eating was not exceptional for the price and not really the place for an intimate date. better value modern Japanese foods to find elsewhere, but aveika would probably come a group of friends for drinks."

this was a last minute booking and we were not disappointed. a complete separate vegan menu with many delicious choices. would be highly recommended.

visited aveika at midday with family. put them menus great worth eating beautifully. the whole staff was very nice. will definitely be visited again soon.

it was a scum night. the staff is really friendly and super nice eating was great. I had recommended teriyaki chicken robata defo. in any case back. ice is so delicious.

Did not realize we would be dining in a nightclub. Photos and descriptions from OpenTable did not represent what we experienced. Couldn’t hear each talk due to the proximity of the eating area and bar/nightclub. Had one small plate which was fine and a drink and left. Didn’t have all the selection on the menu available the night we were in.

One of the most amazing places I've ever been to in Newcastle. Highly recommend. Place is Halal, clean, full of vibrant atmosphere. If you've never been here is a must. Not expensive either. The menu is vast and lots to choose from. They have dozens of staff and they check up on you regularly. If I go back to Newcastle this is a place I will revisit.
