"We went there without a reservation and just got the last table. We ordered a local wine (OK), Wiener schnitzel (excellent) and pork medallions (excellent). We both also ordered potato salad and fried onions (again both excellent). The presentation was outstanding.The greeting was friendly and we were immediately recognised as British, spoken to in English and given an English menu, although the specials were only in German which our host translated for us.The atmosphere inside is of a traditional Bavarian restaurant (a very busy one!) and remember it only opens at 5pm and is closed on a Monday.We will return for one of the best meals we've had for a while."

"The idea, the concept (all-gäu tapas) and the setup are great. Unfortunately there is no food by far. The chili cheeses were fine, but actually only braided chips. Where the chili was, I remained hidden. I felt the bratwurst very fade. I would have saved the Kaiserschmarren with Holundereis better. The Holundereien were simply sweet, but unfortunately neither creamy nor tasted for elders. And all in all, it is quite pricey, because as usual with tapas several things are ordered to be filled. Conclusion: It is not enough to create a great ambience, you also need to deliver quality, especially when you retrieve such prices."

"I can recommend the Hotel Alpenkönigin without restriction. I was happy here. The hotel has many free parking spaces, even if all of them are occupied you will find a parking space in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Everything was uncomplicated. My room was very nicely furnished and everything was very clean and well maintained. I was totally excited about the wellness area in the basement, which is very clean and invites you to stay. You can swim here from seven o'clock in the morning. Breakfast was absolute top. Everything the heart desires was offered. You immediately noticed that it is very high quality foods that are offered here for breakfast. Great hotel where everything fits."

"Welch superschöne Überraschung. Wir sind spontan in Die.Speisekammer und wurden vom freundlich, kompetenten Service und von ausgesprochenen Köstlichkeiten aus der Küche verwöhnt. Da wir nicht die ganze (kleine aber feine) Speisekarte rauf und runter essen konnten, sind wir am Folgeabend gleich nochmals als begeisterte Gäste eingekehrt. Die Vorspeisen wie Makrele Sushi mit gebratene Petersiliencreme oder Zweierlei von violetter Artischocke, Minze, Polentacreme und Sesampesto waren excellente Starter. Lemberger geschmorte Ochsenbacken mit Dreierlei Zwiebeln und Süßkartoffel und Brokkoli waren so zart und geschmacklich perfekt. Die Nachspeise gebrannte Tahiti-Vanillecreme mit schwarzem Johannisbeersorbet rundete das bereits perfekte Dinner vollkommen ab. Superb!"

"Honestly, this place was pretty good. 20-30Euros for a steak seems a bit high, but I can deal with that. However, not having an English menu or anyone that speaks English to explain what I'm ordering was a bit tough to navigate. However, the food that I ended up ordering (even though it wasn't what I thought) was really good. The atmosphere in the place is excellent and gives a true Bavarian feel. The chef was very friendly and even treated our group to a lovely plate of shrimp, octopus, and veggies. However, the prices and the lack of communication make this an average experience for a tourist. I would recommend it for a beer and some appetizers. Great place for a couple or small group of friends."
