First meal in Bedford. Great food. Good service. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely go back next time we are in town. Really good curry, best in a long time.

Whether I have a take away or I go to the restaurant with my family, the food is always top class. I've started to try different dishes rather than my usual tikka masala and I haven't been disappointed. Great friendly staff too. Would definitely recommend.

This family-owned restaurant is all about quality, from the food to the hospitality. There is nothing to fault here - from the warm welcome to the excellent service. A group of 9 to celebrate a birthday a couple of Saturdays before Christmas... What excellent service from all the staff. Very good starters, main courses pretty much run of the mill curry house fare.. Colouring used in the tandoori dishes..a la 80s Bit of a time warp, but much better than pretentious neighbours round the corner. A very relaxing good time in a packed restaurant.

So I placed two orders in March where my food was cold and misssinh items and then I thought let’s give this curry house one last chance as their food is lovely when done right omg never again first some of my order was missing had to wait an hour for my replacement order and then it turned up stoned cold I will never order here again when you make an order u expect all your food to arrive and hot sadly this curry house who use to be brilliant don’t seem to be able to deliver that .

We recently moved to the area from Wiltshire. We can't recommend this restaurant/take away highly enough! The food is amazing, never had sea food cooked so freshly and it has never been a problem asking for different dishes being cooked as hot as we like them! We have eaten in many Indian restaurants before but this one is head and shoulders above all of them.The customer service is outstanding too, such lovely friendly people!!!! Eight of us thought we would try the Bengal and none of us had been before. We hadn't booked as thought we would risk it at 6pm on a Thursday. Lovely greeting and no problem in sorting a table for us, was relatively quiet at this time. Great service throughout and a really nice waiter, chatty and recommended dishes. Food was delicious and hot, lots of drinks ordered. The only thing i would say if i was being really picky, is that the side dishes are quite small. Would definitely go back though, fully recommend this place.

I recently dined at Bengal for the first time and was extremely satisfied with my experience. I decided to try the Wednesday £10 banquet deal, which included a starter, main, side, and choice of rice or naan. Both my companion and I enjoyed the chicken puri starter, while our mains of chicken jalfrezi and moricha (spicy chilli chicken) were flavorful and satisfying. The portion sizes were generous and we even had leftovers to take home. The customer service was exceptional, with friendly and accommodating staff. I will definitely be returning soon.

Now that we can walk to a decent curryhouse, we are visiting our favourite Bangladeshi restaurant in Bedford far less often, which is ridiculous when the food is so superior! Tonight all 5 of us loved our delicious meals. I had my usual vegan pathia, which was the best I’ve ever tasted, (always a good indicator of a great restaurant, when every time you eat there, the food is the best you’ve ever tasted! The bonus tonight though was being informed that they have stopped using ghee in their pilau rice, so now, apart from the keema rice, every other rice is suitable for vegans so I had the coconut rice .
