"we have this caffe on the basis of reviews, especially for the dog friendly aspekt. the caffe seems popular, is well occupied and we had high hopes. service was slow, menus not offered on greeting. foods were generally well made the fresh sausage rolls, especially coffee and scones. we found the caffe no more dog-friendly than others we visited. doggo didn't want a drink, but our sausage roll. P.S.: our doggo was promised to enter. never materialized."

"to stay in thirsk, immersed in the afternoon for a pint and decided to go for tee. it was absolutely great. we had to start lobster ravioli and sesame seed chicken, chicken supreme for the main course with panacotta and apple crumble to pudding. all were fantastic. not only the grub, but the personal was brilliant. political, attentive and very friendly. the service was excellent. we recommend a visit. we will try again, some of the other dishes next time we make it to yorkshire."

"Just returned home after a 2 night stay at the Golden Fleece If you like Oldy worldy then this place ticks all the boxes,quirky and unique perfect central location with a great outside seating area Food is excellent Staff are polite and friendly Squeaky floorboards in the rooms however this building is over 300 years old but this adds to the nostalgia of the hotel and the area it’s located in Brilliant stay Highly recommended Matt Tracey from chesterfield xx"

"with a modern sign that explains the place to the little, you could excuse that this is one of the very fashionable micro pubs. the reality is that, while the owners could actually have modern ideas that repositore a changing variety of real ales (together with the usual lagers, more likely etc). this is a wonderfully traditional pub. it is a very old building with a fine series of old, wooden beams and columns, and the decor and decoration are decided by the old style, traditional alcohol. as such, it is probably the best looking pub in the city, and it is also a fairly large pub with a few corners and crooks down and additional seating up. and back to the ales were the ones we had, top class, how was the service, and the pub has a really nice atmosphere. they also housed live music and randomly there was a very good rock act when we visited. enough to say that, although our intention was to try some pubs in the city, we were here and had a super evening. says everything really and, music or not, that is a super pub."

"Although not local we don't mind the 45 min drive to eat here. Great food, really good prices, good portions, good staff although occasionally slightly inattentive but nothing to worry about. Nice atmosphere, always busy. We especially love the kids menu as it's something like 7quid for the children to eat some decent food with a drink and desert, when you think a happy meal and ice cream from MCshit is a fiver at least.... And the adult 2 course happy hour is great value."
