Blue Ginger - Menu

We have been using the Blue Ginger for a number of years (since it opened) and have never had a bad meal from there. They have a varied menu and the food is restaurant quality. It is always hot, well prepared and tasty.

The chicken in the two curries was very nice if a little sparse. However the dishes and the garlic and coriander Naan were utterly tasteless. The sauce seemed very watery as well and even the mint yoghurt dip was devoid of taste!

My party of 5 adults ordered takeout from this restaurant. The food was delicious overall, but one minor issue was that the chicken tikka main we ordered turned out to be tandoori chicken instead. However, it was still very tasty. I would recommend this restaurant.

My wife and i tried the blue ginger for the first time yesterday and we were pleasently surprised by the quality of the food and the generous sized portions.The food was delivered piping hot wiithin 30 minutes of ordering,we will definately be ordering more food in the very near future. Only just started using these guys. Second order and food can piping hot and very quickly. Unfortunately my wife’s curry was incorrect which appears to be a fault of just eat. These guys replaced it within 15 minutes you don’t get service like this any where and food quality is excellent. We recommend these to anyone. Keep up the good work.

I have ordered delivery from this restaurant several times, and the quality is always good. This time, I ordered chicken tikka dansak, Bombay aloo, and keema rice. My partner had chicken tikka masala. The food usually arrives within 45 minutes and is tasty. The staff provides a high-quality product, good service, and generous portions. Keep up the good work!

I ordered 3-curries at 6.13 on Saturday to feed myself and 2 friends visiting me. The curries arrived at 8.41. By then my friends had left and I felt it a bit late to start making Chapatis and then eating curry so there are now 3-curries in my freezer. Several attempts to call The Blue Dragon were made but phone was permanently engaged. The curries did look nice and there were adequate quantities but obviously the taste test has still to be made.

Been several times and this is normally a good takeaway recently had several bad meals and the last meal a few days ago was awful, with the increased prices you’d expect the same if not better service. The front of house looks at you with disgust, or has done with me. Unfortunately won’t ever order from here again, as it’s clear all staff speak very good English but when a complaint comes in it feels like your a burden instead of listening to you. They have since given me a refund of my order which I had to go back in to get. And even though I told them about the food order, they couldn’t bring themselves to to apologise. The order included complimentary poppadoms and salad, which were kept cold in the bag along with raita and onion side dishes, also free of charge. The onion bhajis tasted like they were from a high-quality restaurant, but they had a bit too much gram flour for my liking and could use more sliced onion. The vindaloo was served in a rich onion-based gravy, which I prefer over tomato-based gravies. We requested extra garlic and definitely got it. Although it wasn't the spiciest vindaloo I've had, it was hotter than other places in the area. It was missing potatoes, which was disappointing but something I've come to expect in that area.
