"Our family of six adults visited Blue Ginger in Middlewich last night, 8th October, and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. First impressions...clean and well lit with modern furniture, tables set beautifully. Staff were friendly and attentive, drinks soon came and orders taken. The menu was extensive, mainly the usual dishes found in Indian restaurants, which suited us. This is not a gourmet restaurant with exotic and unusual dishes, it is a restaurant that produces really good quality everyday dishes. Every dish was well presented and well cooked. The Peshwari naan bread was easily the best I've ever eaten in any restaurant fresh, soft, warm, just the right amount of sweetness and taste of coconut. The pilau rice smelt fragrant and tasted just right, each grain of rice separate. Even basic dishes like my Lamb Rogan Josh contained good quality chunks of lean lamb (not disguised chicken, as in some places), and the tomatoes and onions were all freshly sliced and cooked, and clearly not out of some frozen pack. This restaurant pays attention to detail and uses fresh ingredients. It offers excellent value for money and is highly recommended."

The food was not bad but it was bland. The naan was also undercooked and cold. The sagaloo was good but curries were disappointing. True story would not recommend

Once again, as with several other Indian restaurants I 've visited over the past few months, the base curry sauce appears to be 'made to go further ' as if some thinking agent like cornflour has been added. You know the difference when just onion base had been used.

Had a very disappointing takeaway from Blue Ginger tonight. Although the rice, naan and bhajis were good, the curries we ordered (south Indian garlic lamb prawn dopiaza) lacked flavour, spice and heat. They tasted exactly the same and both went uneaten. Takeaway meals 2 separate orders curry absolutely full of water madras curry tasted of absolutely nothing drained more than a cup of water off it before putting it straight in bin as well as Nan bread rice and only eddible item was the chips almost £50.00 wasted telephoned and was told he would give me a free madras curry next time blamed staff shortages disgraceful needless to say will not be going back

Really just popped in for a quick dinner but was impressed with this plce. The restaurant is modern , clean looking with sensible back-ground music. Pappadums were good and my main of sylehti chicken was excellent tasting exactly as described on the menu and obviously individually spiced. The rice was also perfectly cooked which is nor something one can always say about indian restaurants. Pricing was sensible.

Me and my partner were staying in Middlewich for his work training. We were looking for a place to sit in and eat which didn’t break the bank and accommodated a vegetarian. Although the restaurant itself was a little quiet, we couldn’t fault the meal. The lamb starter was so fresh and literally came out sizzling in the hot plate. I asked for the garlic chilli masala (listed only as a meat dish on the menu) but with Quorn chicken instead and our waiter very happily obliged. It was one of the best curries I’ve had in a while, a lovely balance of sweet and spicy. I would recommend Blue Ginger to anyone who enjoys good service and great food. Visualizza piatti

My wife took me to the Blue ginger this evening as a meal for my birthday it has no bar so advised by staff when booking to fetch our own alcohol which we did a bottle of wine and 4 cans we ain't our meal which was nice but as soon as we finished eating we were being rush out of the door we were the only 2 in the whole restaurant we only had time to have one drink each the waitor came cleared the table fetched the bill without us asking then pointed to the bottle of wine and said you can take that home if you like I said o OK thank you he then asked if we would like a bag and fetched one over and gathered up our nearly full bottle of wine and the remainder 3 cans and placed them in the bag w...

I moved away from Middlewich years ago but my mum still lives there which gives me the perfect opportunity to keep coming back to the Blue Ginger. The menu is great with all the traditional British Indian restaurant curries alongside a number of specials you simply don't find anywhere else. Have been through the entire menu and loved everything I've ever eaten here but mum and I settled on the shashlik bhuna as our absolute favourite. If you love rich masala type dishes with a lot of sauce can highly recommend. "Having successfully deposited our eldest in her new Uni digs and having enjoyed an evenings kip in an adjoining Manchester hotel we were in two minds where to breakfast. MrsC’s growing angst over the likely state of our home after allowing our youngest free rein for a garden party proved persuasive so we decided on an early exit an victuals en route. A scan of Happy Cow and Google combined allied to our southbound travel threw up Wild and Wild as a convenient stop off before we rejoined the M6. Pleased to see that it opened at 10;00am on a Sunday whilst registering our likely arrival at 10:15 we added the required SatNav waypoint and trained our behemoth on its new path. There was convenient free parking on the Sunday and we ambled on the pedestrianised section to Wild and Wild; sitting slightly incongruously next to a Costa. The place is light and well laid out and an enticing array of cakes and pastries greets you as you enter. The usual instructive board informed us “to please wait to be seated” which we did. The young lady who appeared to be both front of house, barista and server said she would be with us after serving her present customer; which was fine but, in truth, simply having the menus on the tables and allowing you to sit yourself at empty unreserved tables would seemed to have been the least intrusive and effective means of managing the flow? Anyway we were handed drinks/food menus and then informed that we could, in effect, do exactly that and seat ourselves. The breakfast/brunch menu was concise but convincing and for speed and efficiency MrsC and I settled on two “full English”, vegan of course, and two oat milk lattes. Queued again and gave the order and paid there and then. Though we haven’t been out too much recently the coffee prices seemed about right but the breakfast seemed a tad high. Understanding how inflation is hitting that might just be an impression but if we had stayed in Manchester and returned to the Lounge a similar menu would have been 30% less. Then it started going awry. The wait for the coffee seemed long; the wait for the food almost interminable (around 40-45 mins in truth) Halfway through that wait another server had magicked into operation and it switched from queuing to order to table service. She was professional enough to highlight to new incoming customers that drinks would be about 10 mins/food 30. Something not considered worthy of note to us earlier arrivals. The breakfast was ok. The vegan sausages appeared homemade with rice wrapper “skins” but they were woefully dry and overcooked. The whole vine of oven roasted cherry tomatoes were good as was the star of the show the Smokey “baked beans”. The toast was good quality bread but cut too thin to successfully soak up both beans and the sweet tomatoes. The other components of mixed greens and mushrooms and tofu scramble were under seasoned and a little bland. The potato rosti was a little dense but ok. Sadly the food was underwhelming and more so due to the long wait; ill fitting the vibe and the surroundings especially as the place wasn’t heaving at any time. Always feel awkward knocking eateries in these uncertain times but, in this case, expectations raised by the feel of the place allied to the prices charged, we’re not met by the quality of the food. Perhaps it’s better suited to an afternoon cake and a drink session? Disappointed."
