Bollywood Restaurant

Boolywood is located in Munich's Neuhausen district on Donnersberger Straße on the ground floor of one of the predominant multi-family houses, parking lots can be found on the street with a little luck, we were on foot. From the outside, the restaurant makes a quite sober impression. A few tables and chairs in front of the door on the sidewalk, here you can settle, but it does not really have to, so comfortable the garden chair furniture does not work. Bollywood outside view in the evening inside receives a dark counter, right hand a few tables, the larger guest room for maybe 40 people is on the left. All this is a mix of Indian remnant without excessive decoration and the charm of an old-fashioned restaurant. The tables are covered with a cream-colored tablecloth, the matching fabric napkins, cutlery, silver-colored salt and pepper spatters and a candle in a silver-colored candlestick. The color of the tablecloths was reflected on the walls and the ceiling, somehow harmonious, also with the red and white window scarves as a color accent. Bollywood Guest Room We were greeted in Indian friendly, i.e. politely reluctant and led to our foursome table, with the menus in the dark leather cover being handed to us at the same time. The Servive acted quickly, but at the request the wishes for order too fast. Three! Demands as to what we would like to order within about 10 minutes after the menus have been emptied, I find myself exaggerated and remember the course of the counter a fast food restaurant. Contrary to this, the waiting period for the invoice or the period until one could order it. At least when serving the ordered food, the timing was perfect. We had ordered a light of the Tegernse brewery and a soft drink. As an appetizer the mixed appetizer for two persons vegetarian samosa, fish Pakoras, vegetables Pakoras, onion rings, chicken Pakoras and Papadams with three different dips to € 11,90. To this and to the main dishes once again Garlic Nan € 3,40 . As main dishes we chose butter chicken grilled chicken breast pieces in butter cream tomato sauce € 14,90 and Chicken Tikka delicate grilled and marinated chicken meat pieces € 16,50 . The dips to the Papadams in order, once fruity picant, once slightly sharp and once crumbled spicy, the Nan bread with reasonable garlic note. Bollywood Papadams Bollywood Garlic Nan The ingredients of the appetizer plate for us successfully fishing out of the cool chest with the promise of long life of the content. Okay, but no more, at least not served greasy. The accompanying greenware is unspoiled and taste-neutral, but also serves only as decoration. Bollywood appetizer plates The two main dishes, on the other hand, without fault and tadel. The butter Chicken nicely delicately prepared accompanied by a pleasantly spicy sauce, both tastefully and quantitatively there was nothing to put out here. The Chicken Tikka could also score with delicate, spicy chicken meat. The meat is juicy grilled, the accompanying vegetables are still slightly bite-resistant, the sauce is slightly picant. To this end, a grained rice, which was unfortunately not served in a bowl with lid but openly on a plate, which did not really good the temperature. Bollywood's main achievements All in all, it was fine with the food, just fine still, it kind of hits. Nothing special but nothing else you have to avoid on a Saturday evening in Munich. There was nothing to complain about cleanliness in the guest room or in the toilets. The conclusion of our visit on 14.04.2018 therefore: 3 – if it results again, but other alternatives are available in the area. 1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it results again, 4 – happy again, 5 – necessarily back to kitchen trip."
