Grand Café De L'opéra

Beautiful typical french brasserie. Service was fine as it was not full when I arrived for dinner. The quality of the food is quite hight even in the 25€ menu. Very conveniently located in the heart of Toulouse.

Not many places are open on a Sunday evening, but this one is and we loved it. The food is classic French including cassoulet of course and I had the biggest Grand Marnier soufflé in the world for dessert. Its not cheap but the wine is good value if you stay local

I have been going there for years and the quality is always there. Service might be a little rough but that is part of the place. First time in this restaurant and will go back again! Nice selection of food without having a too large selection. Fresh and very tasty. Good selection of aperitifs and wine. Good staff and friendly. Quiet place with no children running around, good place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or just a romantic evening out.

This has always been a very warm and welcoming restaurant with very friendly and professional staff and the choice on the menu is wide ranging and will suit everyone. The wine list is excellent. If you want to enjoy a typical French brasserie atmosphere in Toulouse this is the place to go. After dinner have a walk around the place Capitole. Good value for money.

This was the place to be on a wet evening in Toulouse, and were we glad we had booked. The restaurant was full and this added to the general welcoming ambience. We had an excellent choice from the set menu - the sea bass and beef were both perfectly cooked to our specifications - accompanied by a good selection of wines over which we lingered before making a dash for our hotel. Brasserie du Grand Cafe de l'Opera. Title - Traditional French Brasserie. The Brasserie du Grand Cafe de l'Opera has all of the charm and energy you would expect in a traditional Parisian brasserie. Our party of six ordered from the set, three-course menu, which has ample options from which to choose - and provides good value. The wine list offers good variety, including good regional wines at modest cost. Go here for good food at fair prices in an attractive setting.

I had good feedback from family, so I was confident to take friends there. But oh shame. Service was unprofessional, food was average when executed properly, and the McDonald fries are 3 stars compared to what we got at the Brasserie. They also were unable to cook the meat to our liking even when sending it back.Don't ask for a soufflé for desert unless you ordered it in advance without being advised of it. At the end you wait an eternity for your sweet course but you don't get the soufflé.A real disappointment.

Went here last evening for a business dinner as part of a part of 45 people for a set menu. We had smoked salmon starters, beef main course and raspberry cake for dessert, with read and white wine. The atmosphere was very French and the courses were served efficiently by a large army of waiters. I particularly enjoyed the beef main course and my wife declared her whole meal a resounding success. The experience of a large party is perhaps a little unrepresentative but would we go again. Certainly. Delicious food and outstanding service from friendly and experience staff. Good to find this, given the central location and the never ending tourist trade they must have. Well done guys.
