"Mesopotamia is located on a road and parking is possible on the marked areas along the road. The entrance is flattering and passing or driving look directly into the restaurant. I have therefore put restaurant in quotation marks, because it is not comparable to any restaurant usual here or its furnishings. Also to write from living room atmosphere is next. When the room was equipped, no value was placed on cosiness or rather on an ambience furnished with love. Six tables with intarsia patterns and a glass plate cover are placed around the walls. For this purpose, basket chairs with grounded and stained seat cushion on it. Otherwise everything was clean, the color beige gives in everything the tone. Two birch trunks of height and several horizontal thinner in between, a few Obi racks for the simplest glasses and already the counter is finished. The cutlery will not be changed later for the different gears. The question of Chamun is so formulated that, contrary to my other habit, I take back the cutlery from the empty plate. The napkins, of course made of paper, are so thin that I can see through. The welcome by the boss is very friendly. We can choose our 2 table reserved almost two weeks ago. The menu with oriental (Lebanese) dishes comes quickly. Some different menus are offered. Always there is an appetite charmer with various inlaid Arabic delicacies and fladen bread. As dessert, there are different specialties for each menu Baklawa, Datteln or after season. Only the main court varies. I take the Mesopotamic special plate (14 Euro 2 Euro for another meat variety) that is very lush and filled with many different specialties. Thus, cigarella filled with buffalo mozarella, ocrazil, zucchini, paprika, Zaziki, Auberginenmus, chickpeas and -mus, wine leaf with rice mint filling, Lebanese herb salad with pineapple and mayonnaise, green beans, couscous and two pieces of poultry meat, are made on it. I regretted the offer for another two euro and beef, and also to get boiled dead. The dish has tasted well due to its variety, was appropriately seasoned, not too fad and not too sharp, the individual dishes on the plate matched together. The ratio of warm and cold was also very pleasant and overall round. The appetizer for two people comes on a plate and consists only of black olives, olive salad, red sharp pepper cream and to neutralize two buffalo cheese balls and baby eggplants. From each ingredient is approx. 1 tablespoons fully dressed and the serving is for two people. In addition, in a basket comes thin flat bread. The dessert also comes on a plate and is nothing more than the Baklawa, 1 Sesamekeks, 1 Dattel and 1 half miniature fig. We drank a bottle of Lebanese red wine (20 euros), a very dry, fruity and low-priced wine that matched the food. Overall, the stay there took three hours. For the commandment, where I think of the appetizer at which there is not much to do and above all the long waiting time for the dessert (where there was not much to prepare and dress again) too long. It is cooked in the adjacent kitchen room, either with poor/fine hood or closed windows. Our clothes including jackets smelled like standing in the kitchen. Positively we noticed the joy of information about every food and wine. After every walk and every table, Chamun enquired what tasted best. The host has served himself, occasionally he disappeared in the kitchen and helped the cook. No bill, not even a grease note when paying as proof. For this, a liquid pomegranate and liquid in the schnapps glass with rose water."

"We remember: in 2002 the Landesgartenschau Baden-Württemberg and Scharnhauser Park were well known. Those who haven't been on the spot for a long time (as I am) will not be badly surprised at a new visit: the former generous open space is now extensively cultivated, even as an ecological model settlement. Scharnhauser Park has been regarded as a district of Ostfildern since 2006. At the lower end of the long-drawn landscape terrace lies the “Old Guard” in a historically graceful building with a striking whale roof. The area was probably one of the local barracks (now: Nellingen Baracks . Recently, I was a guest at a business lunchtime. You can arrive very pleasantly with the U7 or U8 tram to the Kreuzbrunnen stop and then walk over the road. And the unique area with a view of the landing planes of the Echterdinger Airport invites you to a digestive walk after dinner. The Old Guard building makes a welcoming, secure impression with pretty silver-grey shutters. In summer you can sit very nicely outside, of which the large terrace and the attractive outdoor furniture are still testifying in winter. Unfortunately, we had not reserved and came up immediately upon entering a true wall of Reserved Signs at the tables (this surprising impression came up later explainingly: in the early afternoon an extensive company met for which about three quarters of the entire restaurant area was pre-ordered. We were immediately greeted when entering a service force and immediately “parked” at a small table in the entrance area. There it seemed loud and gracious and somewhat uncomfortable. It is only through persistent demand from my colleague that we were able to translate into a quieter corner. The statement of the service lady that she had offered us the “most popular place” first appeared to me a little daring. The restaurant is bright and friendly in principle, with dark wooden accents and very pleasant lighting. However, the steep exit to the toilets is somewhat crisp. The location of the wardrobe is also somewhat unfavorable, as it is located directly in the entrance to the kitchen – here you can already collide with a stormy service power. The operation is extraordinarily awakened, is somehow under current, and turns out to be a verbal claim. One also felt that the audience was almost only recruited from regular guests, so many personal speeches there were. Both menus and beverages show an up-to-date selection of modernly interpreted classics with quite Mediterranean impact or even Italian interpretation. Very popular is the respective lunch offer, which can be ordered either solo as a dish or as a menu with day soup or small salad (then complete for 9.80 euros). My colleague chose the pork-back steak with rosemary carcasses. The broccoli cream soup on the front was so powerful-sahnig and rezent seasoned. A bread basket with bright Italian white bread and simple butter was served as a greeting from the kitchen. My colleague was enthusiastic about the aromatic potato ants as well as the pork steak, which was refined with dark, spicy paprika strips (almost already Balkans! . My cheese ests were surprisingly lifted off from the ally and mischievous variant presented in the Schwabenländle. They were very sharp in the pan and had the appearance and taste of an omelet. The serving for 9.50 euros was very generous and exceptionally well saturating. During my next visit, I would like to try such wonderful creations as the Filderkraut-Hackfleisch-Strudel for 7.80 Euro or the Burrato on Sicilian oven vegetables for 10.80 Euro. Or the carpaccio of colorful beds and leaf spinach. In any case, the cook deserves a very special praise for its original, modern, nutrient-rich and visually resourceful dishes. The wine map impresses with a selection of well-maintained characteristic wines, also from the region. The bottle Riesling from the JÃ1⁄4rgen Ellwanger winery for 17.50 Euro is also very favorable. For dinner, however, we chose a fresh cola, which was kindly offered in two different sizes (0.3 and 0.5 liter – unfortunately both times served for my taste somewhat too cold. If you wish and ask questions, you should communicate completely openly and directly here, then you will encounter them on the service side with openness and self-confidence. When the vast mourning community arrived later, the two service forces proved great nerve strength and sovereignty. We were served very fast and accommodating. A bit regrettable is the fact that there is no separable space for larger groups. Unfortunately, the noise is no longer good for a more sensitive mind."
